lother's sword

Nomad, use your +3 sword of wounding. You get 2 attacks against small for 1d10+8. The wounds don't heal and take an additional point damage each round. Use your luck to help hit. Chop those little buggers up. Go back to your character page and read about your sword. This is nearly prefect for killing Imps.

Sunblade....

Silentone..your sunblade gives you 5 attacks every two rounds. So you can use the flame blade on the data but should switch to the sunblade to attack the Imp. Your first attack would be just one but the next round you get 5 attacks. Jack and slash that nasty Imp.

Oops my bad

Ok that's my mistake, when I originally added the sunblade I copy and pasted it from another character who I assume actually got 5 attacks. Being multi-clased she gains the best # of attackes from one of her two classes which in this case is Ranger and that for her lvl is 2. She does not gain two weapon fighting as that is only allowed to straight classed Rangers.So again my mistake in not correcting that.

Attacking

Yeah, since holding the idiot didn't completely work Lothor will attack now.

Tann - can Lothor use his sword vs. something he has held with his other hand?

Also - I had intended Lothor to make two grapple attacks - one was to grab the imp which was successful.  But I also had him trying to grab the tail with the stinger.  No mention was made of that grapple attempt.  Did he try it and fail?  Was it missed?

What'cha Go'na do????

Silentone...combat is never simple..in this case the party is being attacked by two types of enemies. So ponder which you feel is the most important for Ray to attack, Imps or rats. Now we saw that Ray was effective with the flame blade against the hord, do you think she needs to continue to protect the other party members while they destroy the Imps or help to destroy the Imp so that the hord will then disperse. The rats are slowed but they are still coming. It will take a couple of more rounds to defeat the Imps.

So as I said it isn't simple, but if Ray goes after the Imps she needs to use silver or + magic melee weapons so she would have to release the flame blade spell.

The bear could help some with the swarm of rats with three attackes of claw, claw ,bite but itwill  take damage as they swarm over it. Depending on how Tann rolls it the claw hits might take out several rats at a time.

What does your gut tell you?

Cor's gut says to smear peanut butter on the imp and let the rats eat it.

Imp hit points......

Dragonsoul...the Imp is hurt but not likely dead. But if it took enough damage it would leave this plane and return to it's plane. Stay allert and attack any Imp visible. There are three to dispatch..

that said the book says Imps have a max hit points of 18.  (2+2, which means 2d8+2 or max of 16+2=18  )

so maybe yes that Imp has been sent back to its plane.

Tann am I right that its max 18?

@Nomad
Tann - can Lothor use his sword vs. something he has held with his other hand? No your sword is a two handed great-sword. Little too big to attack him with, a dagger would be better.
Also - I had intended Lothor to make two grapple attacks - one was to grab the imp which was successful. But I also had him trying to grab the tail with the stinger. No mention was made of that grapple attempt. Did he try it and fail? Was it missed?
Actually I looked up non weapon combat and as far as I could find out on the punching/wrestling section you only get 1 attack when grappling and I played it that way. I could be wrong.

@dragon-soul
Did I kill my first enemy?  Your not sure but you clearly hurt it
Or is the imp still alive. Most likely however he could be bleeding to death as your two hits cut him up quite badly or as Ody said, sent him back to his plane

@Ody
Tann am I right that its max 18? I’m not going to tell you that. However think on this, when has any creature in my game had their normal amount of hit points? Hmmm

Two handed.

Wouldn't doing it two handed just be like fighting with two weapons at the very least?  But it doesn't really matter.  A dagger to the little jerk it is.  Imps.  Little devils.  Or is it demons?  Doesn't much matter.  Nasty little things.

And nastier in Tann's hands...

Okay, so I at least repelled the imp (yay!).
Who wants Arandur's assistance? Anyone?
