Nomad...
It looks to me you get 2 attacks per round with your +5 dagger. So be sure to attempt to poke it twice.
When it is down and the other appears if you can switch to your Great Sword of Wounding you get two attacks and can do more damage per attack. Plus it takes on going damage and can't regenerate from those attacks.
I'd you all will know when you've done them in by the rats giving up and fleeing.
and with Tann's Home Brew rules he likely gave the Imps an extra hit dice, maybe even two.
But I'd think he would drop a clue if he'd doulbed the hit die. They should appear nastier to warrent that. so that said they could be 24 to 32 hit points each. So a dagger does 1d4+8 it will take several stabs to do it in.
Tann..If the Ranger used both Rapiers did he get two attacks with the +3 and one with the +2 and if the +2 hit didn't stun the Imp so it should be able to vanish??? (my meds must be wareing off and I've started rresearching again.)

The sword
I guess I was assuming that saying he wanted to make imp kabobs meant that Lothor would make as many attacks as he could. I clarified in case Tann wants that. As for the sword, Lothor will always use his sword first unless something specific requires one of his other options. It is pretty clearly his best option in most cases.

Btw......
I hope I am not offending anyone by my observations. I am just starting to get back in the game. I don't mean to tell anyone how to play their characters. I tend to research stuff, that helps me envision what is going on. I am just sharing what I think I am seeing.
I have been sort of out of it for a while dealing with minor health issues and meds. I think the meds affected my thinking and writing. I just changed meds last week and it seems I am having more interest in the story again.
If I am over stepping let me know.

research
Ody- I dont see it as your trying to overtake my character. I am a writer in my spare time, so any help is taken into account. I just see it as another player helping another . If i ever felt you were trying to overtake her I'd send you a PM and leave it out of the Q&A thread.

No Problem
Ody - no problem with your comments. I have been running Lothor for a long time and know him pretty well, but I am still more than happy to get input. And more than that, I think it is great when the party discusses options in the Q&A section. So whether you lead that discussion or not, I think it is awesome to see discussion of options. Things like - what the heck is an imp and what are facing - that is useful stuff to talk about.

# Attacks
The way attacks work if skilled in two weapon combat is as follows.
The use of two weapons enables the character to make one additional attack each combat round, with the second weapon. The character gains only one additional attack each round, regardless of the number of attacks he may normally be allowed. Thus, a warrior able to attack 3/2 (once in the first round and twice in the second) can attack 5/2 (twice in the first round and three times in the second).
However since most of the two weapon users are 14th lvl the ratio is 3 attacks per rd with two weapons. 2 attacks primary 1 attack secondary.
Example Arandur's rapiars.
WEAPONS +3 Rapiar of Arvoreen (In combat wielder gains +3 to strength. Adds +2 to hit vs. Creatures over 6’ feet. Does triple damage when wielder is under 20 hit points. Attuned to a single enemy chosen by wielder. When struck enemy must save vs. Death Magic or die. Sm/Med: 1d6+3 / LG: 1d6+3 #ATKS: 2) +2 Rapiar of Stunning (Stuns any living creature hit for damage for 1d4 rounds (Save vs. spell to negate) Sm/Med: 1d6+2 / LG: 1d6+2 #ATKS: 1)
Total attacks per rd thus becomes 3
Also Ody the off hand rapiers stun ability was nagated

number of attacks......
Ooops..brainfart...I was reading 5/2 as 1 attack first then 5 then 1 then 5 ..ect. (as in 5 attacks every second round)

Highest
The most attacks anyone can get normally is 2 per round or 3 per round if weilding two weapons. Of course magical spells and item effects can raise or decrease attacks also.

Double specialists in bow get 5 arrows per round. But that is the exception.

@ Dragon - If i may suggest. You can either do one of two things... attempt to find the imp you injured, or help with the many many ... many rats lol. Combat is very time consuming and needs alot of imagination as we're doing this partially blind, only going off of what Tann allows us to see if you will. Do what you feel that Arandur would do. His sister is weilding a flaming blade and chopping at rats.. perhaps.. play off that?
@Tann - I sent you a pm. I cannot complete my post until I've gotten at least one answer for you

Er, this may seem like a stupid question, but do we run out of arrows eventually? Or not?

In a fight you should keep track of number of arrows fired as a quicker usually holds 20. Afterwards it is assumed you recover arrows and when in town you fill up. Never really been an issue
