Character Sheet Info

Yes we are back and I don't know why or how just as it went away one day and I could not log back on it just started loading again last night.Made no setting changes that I know of at least not knowing I did,but here we are thank the gods trying to post by emailing is just not the same.

Anywo Tann this message is about my current spells I see you got all our potions and such on our sheets now,but and I know there is no way to show this or prove it since everything was lost, but back in Chard Rush I had posted in the Q&A a change in the spells I had ready. This change was not posted on my sheet the spells there are from back in the caves where I needed all those teleport spells.

Now since we are in combat i don't expect you to just give me these spells since it would seem that I am picking spells to aid us at this time so I will post what i want as my new readied spells and use what I have now and when we finish off the earthquake beetle then you can make the change for me please.Unless you would like to make the change right away I would not complain.

Ok One more to go....CALLING DRUSILLIA

Ok everyone has posted but Drusillia.

Dru if your out there please post or I will have to run Haila as an NPC this first round of combat and I would rather not do that as it may mess up what you may want to do in the next rounds.

Also to all players I will tell you this about the Beetle so as to stop the questions I know will be asked, it can hit very well as it uses the attack matrix table for a 16+ hit die creature. So please do not be surprised if it hits you for good damage as it does 4d10 per leg (4 attacks) and 6d6 for its bite for a total of 5 attacks. This does not include its Acid breath.

So good luck.....

Ok Question

OK Something Kyle said in his post makes me wonder if I may have again boo boo'd.
With Cor's Spiritual Hammers do they hit automatically without a to hit roll?
As I read the spell I thought they needed a to hit roll just like any other weapon, if not then I will have to edit my posts accordingly as I rolled for them to hit and they failed.
Please someone let me know ok.

OK just read Brom's post and I see I did make a mistake and I will edit my posts on returning home from work where I am rt now.
Brom if you want go ahead and delete your last post

Ok Crap that means I did the Acid Arrows wrong too huh. Just let me know been a rough week.

Ok heres the deal

Below is the description of the Spell Spiritual Hammer I have Bolded the part that I took to mean I do a roll to hit like a normal weapon or am I misreading it somehow.

By calling upon his deity, the caster of a spiritual hammer spell brings into existence a field of force shaped vaguely like a hammer. As long as the caster concentrates upon the hammer, it strikes at any opponent within its range, as desired. Each round the caster can choose to attack the same target as the previous round or switch to a new target that he can see anywhere within his maximum range. The spiritual hammer's chance to successfully hit is equal to that of the caster, without any Strength bonuses. In addition, it strikes as a magical weapon with a bonus of +1 for every six experience levels (or fraction) of the spellcaster, up to a total of +3 to the attack roll and +3 to the damage roll for a 13th-level caster. The base damage inflicted when it scores a hit is exactly the same as a normal war hammer (1d4+1 points on opponents of man size or smaller, or 1d4 points on larger opponents, plus the magical bonus). The hammer strikes in the same direction as the caster is facing, so if he is behind the target, all bonuses for rear attack are gained along with the loss of any modifications to the target's AC for shield and Dexterity.

As soon as the caster ceases concentration, the spiritual hammer spell ends. A dispel magic spell that includes either the caster or the force in its area of effect has a chance to dispel the spiritual hammer. If an attacked creature has magic resistance, the resistance is checked the first time the spiritual hammer strikes. If the hammer is successfully resisted, the spell is lost. If not, the hammer has its normal full effect for the duration of the spell.

The material component of this spell is a normal war hammer that the priest must hurl toward opponents while uttering a plea to his deity. The hammer disappears when the spell is cast.

Now after reading that was I wrong or not still waiting for an answer. Thanks

Seems clear to me

I have always played Spiritual hammer as requiring a roll to hit. Same with Melf's Acid Arrow.

Uh... what?

Sorry if my post made you rethink your use of the spell, but that wasn't the intention. My post was just to state that Cor had a belief in his own ocmbat ability not so much in the fact that the spell never misses. It was basically saying, "Hey, I'm all that so there's no way that my targeting is off. Must be something magical and wondrous that the beastie has." No need to rewrite anything. The spell is a roll-to-hit spell.

What started it

To be honest Brom, it was part of Kyle's post and not yours that started me thinking that I messed up.

As Conall took his potion he saw the great lights of the Spiritual Hammers of Cor and knew Odin had sent him strength, but as he looked on he knew something was amiss as the Hammers that always hit true, missed.
That last part got me so I thought I boo boo'd. Well knowing I was correct the first time saves me having to edit those two combat rounds so as always....GAME ON!!

That is all

Cor is such a great warrior and Conall’s faith in the great god Odin, just would not let him believe that Cor could or ever would miss such a large target.

Dragonmist and the continuing disaster saga!

Today is 11-2-06 and once again I am appoligizing to the group for my absence from the following weeks postings.
It seems as if there is a curse on me and my computer when it comes to playing trillogy.

First we could not access the site so Tann was posting our e-mails to keep game going. Then we got back on posted once and then once again the site was lost.So I set up with Tann to post our e-mails which should have been last week.

HOWEVER before we could do that I had a hard drive CRASH which took out my ability to do anything it has taken me almost 10 days or so to get my computer back up and running. To make a long story short we had to reformatt the hard drive which left me with basically nothing but my operating system intact.

BUT we have survived and are back up and at least for now again have access to the inn so accept our appology and I will now GAME ON>

size matters

How big is this thing we are fighting? I know it is 100 feet long but how tall is it from the ground? Just trying to put my de-horsed dwarf into perspective and I don't have a 1st edition Monster Manual anymore.

Good Question

Al thats a very good question but it does not say for sure in the Creature Catalog. I would say roughly from the picture about the size of a grounded Dragon without the wings and a beetle type shell for a body.
I wish I had the means to print up a Pic for everyone but I don't. Its a beetle body with a long Dragon head and neck, hope this helps.

(Even though I hope it kills you all MUHAHAHAHAHAHA)
Oh sorry did I think that out loud oops....
