Question on 2nd ed spells...

Does Dismissal remove creatures/spirits not native to this plane from the plane? Such as, oh, I dunno... An evil spirit that might be controlling our Knight Cleric?

Just some FYI notes

Wanted to let you all know this is not the first time I have RPed an evil character in an otherwise good party. It is not a "plant or test" by the DM and is not intended to destroy the party. Yes the character is evil but he is honorable and bound by his word. Plus he has an agenda much larger than this small party and so will work with it to his own ends. Of course he is still evil and will look to further his beliefs where he can. Please do not lose focus of the real intent of the adventure due to this minor issue.

As for the RPing in general: it is great!!

I understand.

I don't intend to destroy the party... Especially not by my own hand!

However, in the spirit of what I believed Conall's best interest to be (protecting the idea of Cor as a good character, not letting his mentor's name be tarnished) I had to voice my distrust for it, and offer a solution.

However, now that Maggot's explained it clearer, and explicitly said stand down, I'll be doing such... just with very bitter feelings.

very well played

Your RP was great and continued lack of total trust is certainly warrented. Careful though, the new guy might grow on you. I look forward to continued banter.

Well, I'm assuming this shouldn't be an issue...

But part of the reason I was rather opposed to this new... Algrak... is because of my experience with D&D rules.

In v3.5, a paladin who willingly associates him/herself with an evil person, ends up forfeiting paladin abilities, until they stop associating with the creature, and they receive an atonement spell.

Is this the case in 2nd ed, or no? Because there is a way to technically let it go... Though Algrak might not like it.

My thought

In this case I would count the association as "forced" due to the situation and not truely voluntary. Sort of a truce more than anything.

Of course there is a way to let it go that is bad for the paladin (fighter). Hehe

Ok no post tonight

As only three of you posted I have no post tonight. I need to hear from the rest of you as to what exactly your doing about the missing party members, if your moving on or resting here, who's on guard duty etc.. etc...

As for healing, every member of the Party got healed up to max using spells from the healers available, except Cor, as he did not offer such healing in his last ingame post to the party.

If you have the ability to cast healing spells check your character sheets in the character thread to see which spells were used, how many spells were used and by whom.

Hope to see some better posts this week........

Deepest Appologies

I spoke with Tann earlier today and I just haven't been able to keep up with Trilogy lately.

I'm with my first child and this whole baby making thing is just draining me. In order to keep up with the newsletter next month and the game I (at least pretend to) run here I am going to have to take a leave from here.

I've loved playing with all of you and hopefully when I get some more energy I can return once again.

I'll try to check in now and then see what you crazy folks are up to, it really does stink to have to leave in the middle of all this chaos.

Good luck all!

M.

Oh look at the pretty baby.

You take all the time you need. The prayers of mine and my family are with you and yours. Oh and if you think the little turd is draining now, look out for the next 18 years. After that I hear they are only bothersome.

Tann'Talas

I don't want you to do something that you haven't allowed previously. Wm is not ready to take Cynil back yet and I don't think it will be any time soon.

Hey

I wasn't sure how to do my words to Althena so I just made them a part of my post. I hope that is acceptable. They were intended to be quiet enough so that no one else could here (if that is possible), but I felt kinda weird sending that as a PM. :/
