Amended my Post.....

Sorry, I over posted the action, still a bit new to post gaming. I pulled the reaction out and put it in an (O.O.C.). So now it'll just show intent and we can compare that to the Bosses reaction. Either way it'll make for fun story.

Everyone pray Ulthok rolled a natural 20!

first post ~ charge!

I see what you mean, Skye as far as the whole 'taking over a character' bit goes ~ spells that I wouldn't have at all! Tann ~ I'll be sending you a PM about the whole spell kit'n'kaboodle in the next day or two. Be ready for questions!

As far as the post goes, Cynil will attack whichever red beak she gets to first. I had her only see one based on the map and everyone's position relative to where she might have seen Haila go off the edge.

Which leads me to another question. Did Cynil's animal shape reset, and if so... what are the restrictions on that in 2.0? (aside from the whole mammal, reptile, bird bit)

I know!

Kyle raises his hand, 'Oh pick me. Pick me. Oh Mr. DM Pick me.' with out waiting for an answer Kyle continues by put his hand to his side and standing to his feet, 'The answer is PM, Pure Magic. It can not be explained, it just happens that way.' Taking his seat once again he then adds, 'and then the DM does an evil laugh and says 'you will all die.' and that is how it usually happens.' Then with a whisper to the one next to him 'I hope he does not kill us off again.'

Conall's First Post...huh

Greetings all,

Well, here were go. First, I'd like to thank everyone for the warm welcome into the game. Also, I think that you guys should know that it has been 11 to 12 years since I've played 2.0 and so I'm sweeping out the dust and cobwebs in that section of the files, but it should be entertaining!

I really and truly am with the whole what, why don't I have (insert spell here) prepared. It's definitely interesting walking into an ongoing battle and picking up the reigns of a level 13 paladin. I have a couple of questions about my Armor as I can't find it in the PHB or DMG that we have in the house for 2.0. The most important question at this point for me is....What the heck does it do?? Other than that I'm pretty good for the moment. I found the books so....I'm giving myself a crash type refresher course in 2.0. Here's hoping that we all survive.

Au Rivoir,
Phelan

Tann ~ I'll be sending you a PM about the whole spell kit'n'kaboodle in the next day or two. Be ready for questions! Always

Which leads me to another question. Did Cynil's animal shape reset, and if so... what are the restrictions on that in 2.0? (aside from the whole mammal, reptile, bird bit) No it did not so you are unable to shape change at this time.
SHAPE CHANGING
Gains the ability to shapechange into a reptile, bird, or mammal up to three times per day after he reaches 7th level. Each animal form (reptile, bird, or mammal) can be used only once per day. The size can vary from that of a bullfrog or small bird to as large as a black bear. Upon assuming a new form, the druid heals 10-60% (1d6 × 10%) of all damage he has suffered (round fractions down). The druid can only assume the form of a normal (real world) animal in its normal proportions, but by doing so he takes on all of that creature's characteristics -- its movement rate and abilities, its Armor Class, number of attacks, and damage per attack.

Thus, a druid could change into a wren to fly across a river, transform into a black bear on the opposite side and attack the orcs gathered there, and finally change into a snake to escape into the bushes before more orcs arrive.

The druid's clothing and one item held in each hand also become part of the new body; these reappear when the druid resumes his normal shape. The items cannot be used while the druid is in animal form.

I have a couple of questions about my Armor as I can't find it in the PHB or DMG that we have in the house for 2.0. The most important question at this point for me is....What the heck does it do?? The reason some magical items may not be in the PHB or DMG is I have the 4 book series ~The Encycolpedia Magica~ which have over 5,000+ magical items everything from Armor to weapons to potions, to rings and all types of stuff, including believe it or not, magical household items . I also have a few books from the basic set, the very FIRST basic D&D game, that cover magical items, monsters and so on. Also some items are of my own creation and put into the game to see how they are used. Example Rayne's Bow "Anduril's Blood" that's one of mine, I got the idea from a fantasy movie I have long forgotten the name of where one of the heroes had a bow that fired energy arrows. I took that idea and modified it to CHANGE normal arrows into energy arrows any magical pluses to hit on the arrow were also added in.

As for your Armor it is listed on your character sheet in the AC area but I’ll post it here to make it easier to find.

2 Platemail of Noble Command. (Grants the wearer the same benefits as Armor of Command plus allows the casting of charm person and dispel fear twice a day.) **Armor of Command is listed in the DMG**

For future reference if it is not in the PHB or DMG or an easy accessible place I normally post what the item does in Brackets behind it.

wait...

Did I read the posts wrong? I thought she had only used up her mammal slot (elephant) the previous day, and still had reptile and bird? It wouldn't surprise me if I did miss it ~ this got a little bit blurry the more I read.

No misread

She had used the other forms, of bird, earlier in the posting to scout the cavern and before that I believe to get past a barrier as a reptile though I'm not 100% sure rt now.

Wait the more I think on it, it may have been Sirene that did the reptile change. As I'm not sure I'll say you still have the ability to change into such avalible

old, just old

so I got to looking at the 2.0 book in the house and they are from the early years of 2.0...I'm talking 1978ish. So, I don't actually have the armor of command in my DMG (the thing is kinda light on magical armor) Anyway, I will keep plugging on.

Au rivoir,

Ok No Prob

Armor of Command: This finely crafted plate mail radiates a powerful aura of magic. When worn, the armor bestows a dignified and commanding aura upon its owner. The wearer is treated as if he had a Charisma of 18 for all encounter reactions. Friendly troops within 360 feet of the user have their morale increased by +2. Otherwise, the armor functions as plate mail +1. Since the effect arises in great part from the distinctiveness of the armor, the wearer cannot hide or conceal himself in any way and still have the effect function.

Thanks Tann! We're both pretty excited to play, especially now that we've figured out where the characters sit personality wise. *winks* Can't wait for the next update!

Warm Fuzzies

Thanks for the kudos. I looked at the game, as in read like 70+ pages, looked at the char, I mean really looked at it, and then I just had to step back and ask myself... What Would Odin Do? He'd glare at them with his eye and kill the all with Gungnir...not practical. Saving the Halfling? Can do! I hope
