I am going to post something, but nobody has posted they are raising me from dead so I will edit if need be, but I was inspired to write something...so I will post momentarily...Please don't kill me for my post...*hides*

I have a suggestion for our DM. You can choose what to do with it,Tann, but I have to get it out. The last combat round I was left feeling frustrated and useless due to outcomes in the DM post. Now, the posts themselves were just fine, but I had no idea why things weren’t working.

I am in a couple of other games that give players the run down as to what happened on the DM’s end in the Q&A section. Successes, failures, limitations with spells, etc. , but nothing too specific like “Celeste rolled a 4 on her Bluff Check”, but sometimes “Celeste missed her Bluff check by 1.”. I’m going to give a rundown of our last combat post as an example of what I mean.

Black Beaked Brain : successful hit with 6/10 hits.
Cor: Successful touch attack to Black Beaked Brain. Critical hit. Failed poison saving throw.
Rayne: Failed poison saving throw. Negative hit points and unconscious.
Cynil: Failed Will save (by 1!). Held in place for the next 36 rounds.
Conall: Two successful hits. Dispel aura ineffective against creature level.
Halia: Successful roll to get shield to Conall. Successful hit to Black Beak Brain. Critical damage.
Althena : Successful ranged attack. Critical hit.
Red Beaks: Retreat at 60 ft.

A message delivered for Skye. Recent disasters have struck near her home, and while she herself is okay, she is needed elsewhere for a time, and will likely be unable to post until the weekend. But, she is all right, and will be returning, despite this momentary disappearance.

Celeste I used to do the above at the end of my posts and list kills, damage taken, and such but somewhere along the line I stopped and I can't remember why. Most likely got lazy .

I will start doing it once again in the next combat rounds.

Do the blackbeaks automatically explode on death? Curious as to why my harm spell (inflicts no cuts) would cause the blackbeak to rupture and spew acid. I envisioned harm killing in a way similar to a heart attack. Just curious.

Cor, I would have to agree with you on this one. I always pictured the harm as a shutdown of internal organs or perhaps internal burns, as what happen with the first microwave ovens.

I also am curious to see what the mighty MR. Tann has to say about this. One thing I am sure of… his answer will most likely include one of those evil head smiley faces in his post answer.

With his Psyche in the amulet is Ulthok aware that he is in there and can he still think (so I can post those thoughts) and would he be aware of what is happening around his body, kind of out of body experence or is he just in a cozy place waiting.

Our game will be on hold indefinatley as our DM fell and broke both his arms. Will post updates as I get them.

Oh no. that is awful news. Give him our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

If it makes him feel better, one of the guys I work with broke both of his hands last year diving after a ground hog.

Went and visited with Tann last night. It is his collar bone that is broken on both sides. Voice recognition program would be great about now.

with it being both of his collar bones....I hope they're giving him good pain meds. Cause that has to suck! Give Tann my best and let him know I'm hoping that he has an uncomplicated and speedy recovery. As far as Voice recognition software....does Tann have a PC or a MAC and what operating system is he running? If we know those things then maybe we can find him a program.
