Realms of Twilight - A Journey Begins Characters

I'm finally getting a character thread up for this game. I would appreciate people NOT POSTING HERE. I will also be converting characters over to the Pathfinder rule set. This change won't be instantaneous and will likely be relatively transparent to you guys except the addition of new abilities. The link to the Pathfinder SRD is www.d20pfsrd.com.

Sorcerer Spells Known 0-Level: Resistance, Touch of Fatigue, Detect Magic, Read Magic, Mending 1st-Level: Burning Hands, Mage Armor, Magic Missile, Shield
Spells/day: 1st: 6

Concentration: +7

Physical Description: Purplish to black skin, only recently did his skin take on a subtle golden sheen, like a light glittering over the body (from the newly acquired Natural Armor), Eyes are a pupil less milky yellow, as par for the race he is hairless, and dressed in Traveler’s Outfit

Personality: Normally a loner, feels like he doesn’t need anybody, trusts nobody to come through for him (even his own kind), feels more of a victim of the treatment he received from his fellow Umbrals in Undercity than of Illuria though he wastes no trust on them either. All will fail him or betray him in the end, he can only count on himself, although, his distrust is not written in stone. His trust must be earned.

Background: The Umbral revere and worship Carius, the believed creator of their race, as their sole deity. To worship any other god is blasphemy to them. That is why Quarilin was banished from the Undercity as a heretic.

Quarilin began to learn of a new and different truth, which began with differences that started to arise in his form. His nails would become claws, at first without his control during intense situations, but was able to finally control it. His skin took on a golden sheen as if someone sprinkled gold dust on him and became rough and course.
He was the type to do research when he didn’t understand something. He found that he may be the first in his race to undergo these changes. He began to see through the differences in himself and the rest of his race that there may be, buried deep, something other than Carius lying dormant in the others and awakening in him.

At first this nameless thing, that made Quarilin different from the rest of his race, was just a curiosity to him, something to research and learn about. Now, it became much more to him, an obsession. He began to talk to others, mostly the young, of a power hidden within all Umbrals from an unknown source. A power they must learn to awaken.

When Kirial Shadowspeaker heard that Quarilin was trying to bring this viewpoint to the public, he reacted swiftly and with purpose to destroy the absurd idea, before this seed of sacrilege took and had an opportunity to grow among the youth. He thereby banished Quarilin from the Undercity, under pain of death, upon his return.

For a time he wandered the Wastelands and the foothills of the Demonspine Mountains, as his sleeping dreams and the compass of his heart began to pull him towards his destiny. He would learn of this new truth, the origin of the changes working their way through him, even if it took him his lifetime to do it.

Physical Description: Gronz is pretty much your typical half-orc, tall, muscled, ugly, and riddled with scars from various conflicts. His thick black hair is cut close to the skin, and he has no facial hair.

Personality: Gronz pretty much lacks a personality beyond the occasional grunt of acknowledgment when addressed. He does not talk much, does the job he is paid to do, and goes on with business as usual. He is highly aggressive and not at all afraid to get rough or fight dirty to make his point.

Background: Gronz was an Enforcer in a thieves' guild that has recently been absorbed by a larger more powerful guild. At the time of the take over Gronz was stripped of his position as enforcer in favor of enforcers in the larger guild. Since then he has been free-lancing, taking just about any job for the right pay. He's gained a reputation around town as a violent, brutal thug, which is just how he would have it.

Physical Description: Height: 5’3
Weight: 110 lbs
Hair: Long dark hair always tied back in a braid.
Eyes: Dark blue eyes dominate her pale, oval face.
Other: A smattering of freckles plays across her slightly overlarge nose and high cheeks. Her usual attire is a black leather outfit that is well suited for nighttime and is not encumber some. Pockets are worked into the legs that allow her to have the tools of her trade close at hand.

Personality: Raina finds it at the height of amusement that she can break into houses and steal items with ease. As part of the ‘balance’, as she calls it, she has a habit of donating money to local soup kitchens and other charities. Although her chosen profession has required extreme caution, her general demeanor is quite a bit more arrogant while not at work. She often utters the phrase, “Stand back and let the professional do it.”

Background: Born into a society that she didn’t quite fit into, the Trovatelli family is a family of merchants. At a young age, Riana became accustom to sneaking out of her house to escape the constant yelling and fighting. It was then that she discovered her talents at creeping into and out of other people’s homes without being noticed. Her father, Bryan Trovatelli, often made business dealings of a corrupt nature. Raina took to stealing from other dishonest people her father dealt with and delivering items or money back to their rightful owners. After a fashion, Raina began being paid for her skills, which allowed her to move into her own place. From time to time she still does what she considers “charity work”.
