Well... we shall miss Ali, but good job Dad. Math, while terrible, is not optional.

Boo, absenteeism! :(

It's understood, of course... and I've been guilty of it more than once, myself... but, still... Boooooo!

Here's hoping that everyone gets back on an even keel sooner rather than later.

So, O NPC Master, I'm guessing that Kramer wouldn't object to the harbor plan (he didn't seem too keen on taking us back to his hidey-hole to begin with)?

huh?

I control up to three million zombies in the greater Chicago area and you consider me briefly pulling the strings on to PCs to be cheating?

And you have how many bullets again? Unless you have some major smart bullets that take a couple hundred out at a time I don't think you have enough. Which leads me to an idea. We need better weapons right? I haven't checked the map but isn't there a Naval base nearby. Might not be the smartest of ideas but it is worth a try.

Well...

...from what I'm seeing, the closest and best option our group has for procuring more firearms/ammo is going to be the police station on Halsted and Addison. However; we're only likely to pass that if we go with "Plan A" and try to get back to Wrigley... if we go for the harbor as we've recently discussed, I don't really see anyplace to stock up on that kind of thing along the way (barring the random police cruiser or whatever that we might have time to ransack)...

Also, just because google says the police station is there doesn't mean the GMs going to leave it there in game, so, the above is based solely on what I'm seeing on googlemaps and theorizing... A city the size of Chicago is likely to have at least a Reserve/Guard depot somewhere... I think there are Navy and Coast Guard facilities about, too, but haven't actually looked to see... *shrugs*

Note: just looked and the USN Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, is roughly 30 miles south of where our party is, now... Looooong, dangerous haul on foot...

police station

I shall ask the mighty GM if there is the police station there.

"OH MIGHTY AND POWERFUL GM MIGHT THERE BE THE POLICE STATION DISCUSSED IN EOL'S PREVIOUS POST AT THE LOCATION WHICH IS DESIRED. OR HAS THE RECENT YEARS OF CHICAGO FORCED THEM TO ABANDON THAT POST!?"

Police station is still there - and yes, that is the location for the naval station.

The real questions, though, would be...

...Are any of our characters aware of that police station being where it is? (Some of us, who have lived/worked in the area probably would, I'd imagine, but I hadn't even had Murph consider making it an official "stop point" to be honest... he's likely more worried about getting the hell outta here than anything else... figured if we went back to Wrigley per Plan A we might pass it en route and go "hey! sundries!"... but, if we go the harbor route like we (Murph, anyway) is thinking now we won't be passing it at all...

Might have to become a "side mission" of some sort or, depending on what happens next/where we end up, we might have better options...

GAH!!!! I'm totally thinking 72 steps ahead!!! *zipping it*

no it's a good thing

I mean instead of blindly walking the streets you have a plan. Now granted that plan can be torn apart by the GM when he so feels it but having the plan does help things. If you hadn't been thinking ahead to Wrigley we may have never even thought about sotres along our path to where our destination would be.

One other question. We have two new patrons along in our group would any of them happen to know the status of the police station. Hopefully one passed by and has seen if it has been cleared out in the recent past. Other than that Alaster is keen on going with whatever Murph says he hasn't lead us astray yet.

Im going to go ahead and say Teddy has a strong knowledge of the local area, as I had included local geography in my list of skills.

Also, you don't know me yet, so I'm going to go ahead and say you should deal with that.

True enough...

Father Teddy has yet to answer Amber's question as to whether he plans on eating anyone yet. He might just say yes and we'll have to try and bash his brains in.

I doubt Amber would know where the police station was... or would even be thinking too hard about it even if she did. Hell I'm not even sure where the police station is in my city... yeah come to think of it I only know of where one is in the whole expanded city I live in. *shrug* Can't say I have much need for them, thankfully. They've always shown up in a car when I've needed them. (which has happened more than I'd really care to think of *sigh*)

But... I digress...

How about we just skip the whole discussion of where to go... The hardware store's gotta have some rat poison, we can lace that in some coolaid from Treasure Island and forget the whole mess
