The Drawbacks of Eternity

Eternity is nice, because you actually have time, but at the same time you have too much of it, and so time loses meaning for you. That said, however, with eternity, there is the possibility you could learn many things, above all being contentment with oneself. Yet, as soon as you have achieved it, since you have eternity, it too loses its meaning over time (say a couple hundred years, which isn't that much with eternity).

So, in the end, it is far better to have something with a beginning, and end. It is part of what being alive is about, pushing your limits to surpass the moment and even what is referred to as human nature. To grow and learn, but above all to learn to be happy with what you have, or, if that isn't possible, find out how to change what you can, usually yourself, so that it is possible, without hurting others who are just trying to achieve the same thing.

EDIT: Oh dear, I was working on this at the same time Kuriosaki posted. I have to go to bed right now, but I'll respond to Kuriosaki's too tomorrow, so my post is still valid.

EDIT2: I'd go with rediscovering the wonder of being little. Rediscovering the world would be thrilling. Reliving my childhood... that I don't want to do.

Choose one, or choose the other, but choose carefully:
1) Know how to travel through time and have the means to do so, however it is only for you; you cannot bring any other living thing.

2) Have the ability to blur the distinction between reality and fantasy. (basically, you are a key by which fantasy can be realized as reality, in an area the size of a house around you)

Reralee sounds like a Taoist :) (that's a good thing)

ETERNITY = a procrastinator's ultimate dream or nightmare depending on whether they are an optimist or a pessimist.

wow...
I'll take #2. My mind is already blurred by fantasy vs. reality so I'm half way there.

Have someone else make all your decisions for you and you take the credit and or punishment or you make all the decisions for someone else and you take all the credit and or punishment?

As a wanna-be-daoist ...

I would choose option one (1, the first, primary, before any/all others) ... But, the decision(s) having been made, I wouldn't necessarily be bound to abide by them ...

Size of a grape, or color of a punkin?
