Ok Out of Game question

Brom how do you manage to be able to post maps like the above one. I would love to be able to do that with my maps both Town and dungeon rooms in Tril.
If you can please email me and teach me how.

Answer: Unteachable.

I use Photoshop. Without it, you won't be able to replicate the build very easily and I've got years of experience with the program so it isn't that easy to teach.

Your dead Sui see ya in the afterlife after Cerebal Paradox

I hate to say this Sui but you just killed yourself.
I gave my word to DS that he would be safe helping us and with your action of killing him I have no choice but to kill you once I reach the van and find out just what you did. Also if you kill me by some chance before I kill you Guardian will surely kill you as you took out the person he was hired to guard. Plus come to think of it he will get to the van before I do and once he see's DS dead your toast.
Also again come to think on it if you SOMEHOW manage to kill both Guardian and myself there is still my Tribe brother BullsEye and Peacekeeper and if you do kill me they will kill you as BullsEye and I are family and Peacekeeper is my girlfriend. You my friend are in a really really bad spot.

My advice Sui change your post if you let it stand your out of the game.....

you'd kill him over that?

Don't get me wrong, if my character dies, he dies. It's his decisions that get him where he goes. But I'm pretty sure that, based on your convos with DS, your char wouldn't care that he had shot him, in fact, he may even be glad to be rid of him. I mean, all DS has been for you is a problem. Also, if his mark's dead, I doubt Guardian would care anymore about it as he's not got a paycheck. I pay well enough to keep him from shooting me. But hey, maybe you'll give me a second to talk and Spiff can talk you guys down .

Ok Wake up and reread the last posts

Your right DS has been a pain in my ass so far and I wish he were gone in many ways. But I gave him MY WORD of no harm and in the shadows thats all we have sometimes.
As for Guardian well he is a Professional bodyguard with a good rep and you don't get that kind of rep by just blowing off your client’s death. Trying to hide the fact that you killed him won’t work as Firewind and BullsEye witnessed you just kill him. Trying to talk to me after I see DS dead won’t help you as nothing you say will stop Croaker from killing you, if Guardian has not already done so for me.
Look how about this, instead of shooting him shoot the damn camera that way as you said in your posts their will be no video record of the heist
In the end it’s your call but if your post stands you will be dead once Guardian or I see DS dead and find out you killed him.

Ok...

I'll do what you ask, but just for clarification, Spiff doesn't give a s*** about you making deals with low-lifes behind his back, and behind the backs of the rest of the group. He knows he had a job to pull. For what it's worth, if you knew what job you were pulling, you shouldn't have offered media coverage to that jack-ass. I don't think DS is a bad guy at all, but I still don't think your character would really be buddy buddy with him after what you've said to him so far. Anywho, I think it'd be a reasonable move for Spiff to shoot the camera instead of DS (he has no reason to hate the guy) so I'll change it. Sorry for upsetting you.

Ok wait a minute

Ok first off your under a misconception as to what is really going on. so let me set the record straight.

1st: The "deal" I made was to let DS leave unharmed if he only put down the fire escape in that I gave him my word.
He on his own decided to help and told Guardian to help us all out. That for moment put him and Guardian both on my team and as such under my protection.

2nd: At no time did I offer him media coverage and if you back read the posts you will see that I tried to lose him and get away from him, even getting into a fire fight with him and his old body guards before Guardian.

3rd: DS and I go way way back and up until this run we were very close friends but his desire to get the story has put us on opposite sides and up until meeting him on the steps I looked at his actions as a betrayel of my trust. But due to what was happening inside the Hole I took the smart way and tried to reason with him instead of trying to shoot it out with him and Guardian.

4th; And hear me very well on this in the end it really does not matter if you change your post or not for you ran off and left Peacekeeper and Guardian high and dry on the landing and Croaker will have something to say to you on that have no fear. Remember Sui I do not consider Spiff on my team and never have, you got hoisted on us by Spring Heeled Jack and now your bodyguard is toast. Who's gonna protect you now if not my team.

5th: Final word on all this you did not upset me as you think I was only trying to save your character from being killed by Guardian or Croaker and because your a good RPer and the game would take a hit if you ended up out of it due to character death. Keep it all in mind that this is just a game and should be nothing personal between us as players.

No worries, I don't get hot over Role Play.

For the record:

“Frankie its cool, no gun play between us I swear, just lower the damn firescape and get out of our way. After that you and your friend can do what ya want just hurry.”

was your deal, the deal that Spiff heard. So you weren't gonna shoot him. Spiff knew him on site as a media (DM said so) and would've shot him on his way down the steps had you and he not been into it.

Also, I read all the back posts before I joined the game, starting way back when with a rockerboy character who never got played. I know Spiff is putting himself into s*** over and over, but don't forget that the girl is unharmed and her face is covered, and the entire crew Spiff had with him is in one piece. What can your guy say about that. If I recall from back posts, you killed a few cops, lost a character in a car chase, scared off two player characters, got into a firefight, killing two player characters who were working for DS after calling him to get more players into the game and you think I'm creating a mess by getting out of the gunfire? My character is a face-man, not a gunner. He knows how to handle a side-arm, but that doesn't mean he jumps to do so. Do you think he'd hire two body-guards for the meeting with you guys if he had been a front-line fighter. No, instead, he was about subtlety and got your crew out in one piece to boot. Now his body-guard is dead and he's got you to thank. Don't think you're the only one that gets to yell .

Anywho, I understand completely that you were trying to save my character. But he never heard you say that DS would be protected, just that you wouldn't shoot him. And he knows no cameras, just as you do. Don't let him "do what he wants" 'cause as much as I know how hard contacts are to get and how important they are for a character, Spiff is already having enough trouble dealing with his own and does not want a mess associated with yours to add to his issues.

One last thing, there are plenty of chars that I would be willing to pick up if Spiff died, so don't consider that me dropping out.

Kapeesh?

- Sui

Hold your horses

Just my 2 cents...

Brom makes the call what happens and when, so let's not get carried away here. As for Spiff's future... It's pretty much the same to Guardian if he shoots DS or the camera - his employer's life has been threatened and that's quite enough to get the big guy angry. And no one wants to be on the receiving end of his anger...

So I'm hoping Guardian can get down before you fire at DS... For Spiff's sake.

Ok slightly pissed now

Sui first off the Cops jumped us first and we had no choice but to kill them so blame the DM not me.

Second the character killed in the car crash was a player that left the Inn totaly due to real life issues not because anything I did in or out of the game.

Third you say I scared off two players please eleborate as to which two player characters did I scare off because as far as I know I did no such thing. As for DS's first two body guards hate to tell you this but no player then in the game or now killed them. They were killed by NPC's run by Brom and that was his call as DM.

As for getting Firewind, Peacekeeper and yourself out of the Hole I think it was not so much you but Peacekeepers skill with guns that helped you guys get an edge. And as for Coyote what the hell do you mean thats my fault he chose to stay behind when I moved to the fire escape. Nothing I did or said got him killed and here we have yet another case of character death by a player leaving. So the next time you want to blame someone go look into a mirror then come back and reread all posts in the game and get your facts straight. I have been in this game from the beginning and I am the only one who can say that so I know what has happened in the course of it better then you.....

whoa!

slow down. I was simply clarifying that I had read the backposts, and I certainly wasn't blaming you for other players or npcs dead or otherwise. The two characters that your CHARACTER scared off were players that left the game (one came back iirc) irrelavent of your actions. One was a netrunner and one was a techie and both were with your BMW driving guy who basically went suicidal.

Then you mixed in what I was saying spiff was thinking into what I wrote. Spiff hired two bodyguards, you told him to ditch one, so he did. As far as he's concerned, though, he left the other one with you, and you got him killed off. After all, you're claiming responsibility now if DS gets killed, why are you bailing on responsibility with all these other characters? You're the one in charge, right? You have been from the beginning.

So, for clarification, I was just trying to point out, from the perspective you were presenting, that you were no better than the rest of us. And go ahead and give peacekeeper the credit for Spiff's actions, if you want, but there's a sh*tload more guys in the hole than we've had to fight with, so Spiff's actions have kept it that way.

*Chuckles*

Chill folks. Fact is, I haven't had a whole lot of time to deal with things in the game due to RL, but there's no fears. I've got things worked out. You'll see. Certainly no need for anyone to take offense at anything. 'Punk is a game of hostilities. The beauty behind it is when players find a way for their characters to work together despite differences and conflicts.

Ok an Apologie to all players

Ok Sui, Brom and everyone I'm sorry that I got a little hot under the collar there but the way you made it sound Sui was that I was deliberately chasing off people from the game, which to my knowalage has never been the case.

As the only original player left CP means alot to me and I guass I kinda go overboard sometimes over the game.
Out of all the games I am in right now its my favorite one and I have tried to help Brom keep it going as much as I could and 'Scaring' players off would have hurt the game.

So again to all and DM please forgive my anger.

Explanations

'Punk allows you multiple actions within your 3-second phase. My own house rule limits how many actions you can take before moving on based on a formula derived from character stats, but that's not really something you need to to. In addition to this, moving up to a character's RUN in a phase doesn't take an action. Unlike in D&D you can move a great distance and still perform some actions. As such, both DigitalScribe and Spiff (both of whom only ran this phase) had actions available for the phase.

Guardian, Peacekeeper, and Preacher are all in the same boat, though time is passing. Bullseye and Firewind can also respond to the activity taking place, and Croaker has already stated he's reloading so his only other action available to him to to run, but he's opted to stay behind and provide cover. So, one more round of posting from everyone (but Croaker, though you're more than welcome to post thoughts) and I'll move to the next phase.

By the way, Sui, that was an insane shot and you nearly pulled it off. Old Spiff isn't so shabby with a handgun.

Oh, and no gunfire was taking place during the little scrape taking place in the van so everyone heard that shot fired, and was able to tell the direction it came from.

Guardian and Peacekeeper: at a full "Hey, I'm hauling ass" run you could be down the fire escape and to the van this phase, but you wouldn't have any other action until next phase. That's 4x your MA. This puts you about seventy feet from the van, or roughly twenty-one meters if you were ground level. The remaining nine meters or so is your height, the stairs, etc.

The way I figure it, if Guardian and Peacekeeper make for the van and reach it this phase, Preacher will go the next, and Croaker the one following that; putting Croaker in the van in roughly seven to eight seconds. Of course, this is provided you all stay on the current trajectory... and when does that ever happen?
