Possibilities

While it is still daylight we might be well advised to interview the Gamboli, Blacker and Ribault families?

time

You have plenty of time to visit each family today. If you desire to do so, I can update these visits in one update coming Monday. A list of what you want to know from them would be very helpful in that case.

Okay Almerin

I will get a list of questions for each of the families and hopefully some of the others will post some questions also!

First Set of Generic Questions

All of these Generic Questions are to be asked of everyone in town and Especially Granny Tapestry when we return to the Guesthouse:

01. What can you tell us about the Temple of Solanis, Sofia and the fever?
02. Did you go to the church of Solanis and if so, why did you stop attending?
03. Why is doctor Roy Pikarov the only person in Sedostra who continues to pray at the Temple of Solanis?
04. Has anything strange been going on in the community since Sofia passed besides the disappearances?
05. What do you know about the strange markings on the tree in the cemetery? Was someone hung there and who?
06. What do you know about the Undead sightings and have you been an eye witness to any Undead activities?
07. Are there any secret legends you know about Sedostra?
08. Is there anywhere or anyone inside or outside of town that you might view as suspicious?
09. What can you tell us about the variety of Shrooms in the Sedostra fields? What type of Shrooms are growing behind the altar in the Temple of Solanis?
10. Who do you know that would gain the most if the farmers abandoned their Shroom fields?

Hopefully someone else can add to these questions and I will review the story and map and possibly ask some more questions for specific persons or families.

I used to ask questions as a sports reporter here in the States and overseas!

Specific Questions

All the following Specific Questions are in addition to the Generic Questions posted previously:

Gamboli Family 01. What type of shrooms do you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your shrooms?

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

Blacker Family 01. What type of shrooms do you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your shrooms?

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

03. Did Steph (married?) have a lover in another town that he might have decided to go see? Any business dealings in another town that would have made him decide to leave instead of coming home from the fields the day of his disappearance?

04. Do you have an article of his clothing that you would be willing to give us for Arra to track his scent with her nose?

Ribault Family 01. What type of strange brand of fungi is the Moistcap shrooms that you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you use to prepare the soil to help cultivate your shrooms?

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

03. Would there have been any reason for Irana to leave unexpectedly to go somewhere in the middle of the night besides to the bathroom?

04. Do you have an article of her clothing that you would be willing to give us for Arra to track her scent with her nose?

Dorian Family 01. What type of shrooms do you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your shrooms?

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

Pikarov Family 01. What type of shrooms do you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your shrooms? [This includes the shrooms in the Temple of Solanis behind the altar]

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

03. What can you tell us about the remains of the skeleton in your home? Human or Other?

04. Are there any secret chambers in the Temple of Solanis? Where do those right and left doors lead to behind the altar?

Tefferson Family 01. What type of shrooms are the Stinkdelver shrooms that you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your Stinkdelver shrooms?

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

03. Do you know of any reason why Mosk would have disappeared in the middle of the night?

04. Do you have an article of his clothing that you would be willing to give us for Arra to track his scent with her nose?

Granny Tapestry's Guesthouse 01. What type of shrooms do you grow (what are their purpose?) and what do you do to the soil to help cultivate your shrooms? (If that is a shroom field on the map or is it something else?)

02. How long have you lived in Sedostra?

03. What can you tell us about the families of this community?

Depending upon the reactions of each family and Granny Tapestry in the Update by Almerin any further questions or actions will have to wait until then.

Brokkrok is ready at a moments notice for any unexpected fight or if an alarm is shouted out when they finish their rounds he will spring into action!

His questions for clothing of the missing farmers is not meant in a demeaning way to Arra, but considers her to be an Expert Tracker (no matter what her race!) and he is letting her know that he has her back and hopefully she has his as comrades in arms [as an equal as much as possible for a Khord] should any trouble arise!

If anyone else has any further questions Please Post them here for Almerin to include in his Update on Monday!

Questions...

For Roy -
Who tends the mushrooms in the the chapel?
Is the tender also the planter?
Did anyone bear any ill will towards Sofia?
Did anyone else come down with the same fever and not recover?
Who tended her illness?
Does the town have any major competitors in the shroom market?

For each Family:
How long have they been raising the types of mushrooms they raise?
Who do they view as a competitor?
Do they have any known enemies?

For Granny Tapestry:
When were her last guests there?
How many people work for her?
How many of those are newcomers to town?
How long did the last guests say?
Where did they go while they were in town?
When did they leave?
What did they look like?
Did they leave anything behind?
How often are the rooms cleaned?
Who cleans them?
Did they say anything suspicious?
Have new traders come through?
Have any of the trade caravans that are usually passing through had any "new" drivers in the team?

ok

Glitch wants to stay in the church, and will even suggest splitting up to cover more ground if nobody wants to stay with him.

His addition to any questions would be to ask if anyone recognises the golden disk he found at the cemetery.

Also what happened to Sofia's father? How did he die? Was he buried? Where?

If We Split Up ...

..... then I propose that the characters of Jozan, Admiral and Takley investigate the door on the right (Admiral's weazel can sniff things out)

While the druid and Lady Dark's kitty can go with Brokkrok to explore the door on the left. Arra can sniff things out on the left hand side.

That way we are not too far removed from each other in case of trouble and I for one am curious as to what is behind each door!

The only reason that Brokkrok would leave the church is to give the doctor some respect for his prayer time!

It appears

It appears you'll be doing some dungeoneering instead of asking farmers around. Of course, I had to take certain liberties, which I think are not overly invasive. In fact, I think this will be necessary more often in the future, from my side as well as yours. Assuming certain things is part of keeping the game flowing from one interesting point to another. Hopefully you'll be able to work with this.

Also: As Ayrn's not playing at this moment, it is unwise to assume his character will do certain things. Aly is a bit of an ethereal NPC. She's there, but we should not utilize her explicitly if we can help it.

Another note: I don't like parties which split up. For two reasons:

1) I have to update two 'stories' at the same time. I don't mind doing this, but I do mind the fact that the rest of the party still reads what is going on and this kind of situation encourages meta-gaming.
2) I want to keep everybody alive. If half a group encounters a monster that would require the entire party to defeat, you'll be done for. And in online gaming it is very difficult to back out while you still can.

If you can prevent splitting up, I would advice you do so.

OoooKaayyy ...

..... this is where we need some Feedback from everyone as to which doors we open first and in what order?

Arra has the nose for hunting so if she is not too overwhelmed by the stench perhaps Lady Dark can add a thought or two before we proceed any further with posts?

Just a Thought for Consideration

Brokkrok is carrying 3 stones to cast the Magic Stone spell so that he can give the stones to the druid so she can use them in her sling.

I am going to wait a while and ponder what to do before making any other suggestions.

nope

Sorry. The smell is too overwhelming for any scent-related ability to function.

Besides, Arra is Kazari and therefore cat-related, so she has no scent abilities. Cat's are known for their amazing sight and hearing, but not for their keen noses.

Edit: The druid is not an active party member at this time. If you want to change the slot of that spell to another spell (so: acting like you never cast it) then that's fine by me.

nopy nopy okay okay

Thanks for the Heads Up Almerin!

I will consider another plan of action and in the meantime I will probably just write up a short post regarding the reaction of Brokkrok to what has just happened here!

Thanks Again
