in the town of red dragon

the idea of the inn floating in nothingness isnt enough for me I MUST MAKE A TOWN.

so just starting off heres what i have

in the center of town is the red dragon inn itself the inn is not only just a place where adventurers gather to set off on quests its also the town hall.

just south of the inn is the town square and in the middle of the square is a carved stone fountain with statues of the founders of the red dragon inn (and therefore the town itself) there is a golden plaque on the fountain with their names on it.

west of the town square is Sal's outfitters where many an adventurer has gotten his or her equipment.

east of the square is the museam which houses the history of Audalis ,Alacrity's magic items, and the archive vault.

the road leading NW of the town square goes to the market district and Castle Grugg and hidden somewhere is the Totally Evil Associates guild aka as T.E.A. (DM's Corner)

on the road going south is the residential district and Merediths ( is that spelled right) nursery and the hospital.

on the road going NE is the harbor district and Alacrity's school of magic and the adventures guild (Player's Guild)

and if your wondering Eol lives at the inn "greeting" any new face he happens to see.

thats all i can think of right now, if theres anything ive missed or something you would like to add please tell me.

also heres some thing up for grabs

building ownerships:
the hospital
the museam
the boatyard

and some buildings being constructed:
the church

on an unreleated note i found out that my last name derives from a couple of words in Gaelic the words creigh meaning border and tune meaning farm or settelment. i also found out that i could have inherited a castle in scotland if it wasnt in ruins, another thing i found out is that the castle the village it resides in and a colledge all have my last name in their name. i thank bing wikipedia and google for finding these things.

Well

I like the idea of a transdimensional inn, on its own plane, accessed via portals in every world. Which means only the coolest get to be here ^^

in that case

it will need portals to connect to all the adventures that go on. As well character gates to become the character you design

what i think the inn looks like now that someone mentioned portals

i think the inn would be a fortress on a bunch of floating islands with tons of inter dimentional and inter planitary portals tons of bedrooms each customized to fit the personality of its occupant (ie mine would have a iron door that works on magic steam and lazers, and in the room would be an assourtment of weapons alchemical materials spell books and machinery the bed would have black linen sheets a red comforter made of egyptian cotton and a pillow made of cloud fluff,my room would also contain a bat stand where i would keep a pet bat if i had one a kitchen in a box a portal to Sarnia which is quite a bit more dangerous than Narnia and a shower in a bottle) throughout the inn there would be dining rooms taverns and restrooms. at the top of the main tower would be the admin rooms (where all the meals are cooked perfectly and served to you in bed, the bathrooms are self cleaning, the closets have their own dimention for infinite space, and a whole lot more.).

but...

Calling a broom a hedgehog doesn't make it so. So, if the Inn is a fortress then it's not an Inn. Then it's a fortress.

Eol lives at the Inn, licking faces and...

...directing people to the shift, comma, and period keys, too.

I...can't...stand it!!!!

*sighs* Ahhhhh... that helped a little.

Also...

...Eol actually lives under the Inn. Got myself a nice little apartment in the cellar... Pretty easy to find actually... just find the gnomish coffee machine (this is the outside wall of "Eol's Hidey Hole", make a left, a right, turn around counterclockwise three times, then pull the "brew" lever... If I'm home, I'll answer... If not, go outside and check the cellar windows... if one's open, I'm likely out and about facelicking newbies and such.

Ah, Home Sweet Inn..............

Ah, the Inn..........
I see it as an large Inn in the heart Audalis. It stands in the center of where all roads meet or more actually were all roads start. From the door of Inn all adventures start and all adventure conclude.

The common room is where all parties form to leave on their chosen quest. It is also where all the wary traveler, the steady locals and the new comers are welcome.

A home away from home where there is always a warm crackling fire in the fire place, a personal tankard for each on the mantle; they just seems to be there when you walk in.

Your favor drink is always ready and keg of free "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh" is always at the end of the bar. There are private rooms for planning and chatting. No matter how many are in use, there are is always another available.

The tales and stories flow as freely as the "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh". Some come to spin thier tales, some to lurk and listen.

Although you may venture out, you never forget where you are welcome.

The Inn "is".

This is interesting...

...but not a forum game, still. Here's what I think the Red Dragon Inn looks like.
Eol says he lives under the Inn, so it would of been built on solid ground. Maybe dirt. If it's a town, I'm not at the Inn, I would most likely be in the most south-eastern part of town where I'm just doing as I please. It explains why I'm not on that much, I'm kind of far away. Each building would be a home for an Inn member, so instead of an Inn, it would be more like a huge Motel. The shops would be located at the very back of what we call the Red Dragon Inn, which is the central part of this Motel, where you would check in, or register. The GMs and DMs(same thing) would have portals leading to their worlds in their rooms. A closed game would be a broken portal. When you step into these portals, you become the being you wanted when you signed up for the game, at the register(Red Dragon Inn). At the Red Dragon Inn is where special events occur, and is where Tcatt lives with his daughter. The whole area will have a Dragon Theme, and will be red, as in, Red Dragon Inn.
