Satchel's hellos...

Just felt like i needed a place when I was in the mood for dragony type chat and fortunately happened upon you all!

Mostly just a random drop in but maybe game playing should I find the time, not sure if I could commit to a schedule. I'll probably just lurk a bit until I see what what work best and how often I end up here realistically.

The very least I can do is say hi of course! Edited for repetition typo...cuss!

Ps...I love fantastic mister fox.

Lurking is Good

Welcome to the Inn. I'm Odyson ,better known as Ody.

Here's your soft fluffy towel, keep it handy, you'll know when you'll need it.

I lurked a long time before I join any regular games too.
I found the word games and other little games a good way to meet folks and break the ice.

The DragonChat chatroom is a nice place to meet folks too. I'm your honorary bartender in the DragonChat Lounge, if I'm not there just order up from my silent helper Igor.

Your first visit gets you a free frosty tankard of "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale with the foam on the bottom.

Hope you enjoy your time here.

Satch! Satch-mo! Satchel!

Glad you found us, Satchel! We're always looking for fresh faces... if for no other reason than I really love to do this:

Welcome aboard, Innmate!

Thanks for the towel

*wipes face*

Thanks all for the greetings. So a couple questions I couldn't find an answer to,sorry if they are someplace and I was lazy.

Well maybe three, but that one is pretty simple. So easy answers first, how about an ordinary root beer or hot chocolate? Though I'm sure your famous brews are well crafted I prefer the sweet stuff.

By the by is there a common time people chat? I always see the number says zero people are there.

How exactly do the forum games I've seen work should I find the time? I am not always a rules lawyer about this sort of thing but the way I see it dice rolling must be an honor system or something. At least on the player side, unless the gm just handles everything and you usually go by what gm tell you which is reasonable.

Answers of a sort...

Root beer? Hot Chocolate? Suuuuuure! The bar is pretty well stocked hereabouts and, if you can't find what you want, I'm sure we've got the stuff to make whatever it is.

Chat? No, not really a common time, per se... Chat seems to ebb and flow with the mood of our Innmates, it seems. Some of us are very chatty and, at times, will have the chat rooms running full bore for hours on end... then they'll get chatted out and the rooms will get empty and dusty and depressing... Then someone will get all motivated again and POOF! CHAT!

As for posting (or PbP gaming, if you prefer). The dice rolling and whatnot is really dependent on the GM of the particular game, Satch. (Most GMs hereabouts, though, tend to do the rolling for combat and such 'behind the scenes' allowing you to focus on character character development, RP, and the not-so-technical side of things.... Here, check out Pit F(r)iend's Guide for Newbies and see if that doesn't help make it a little easier for you to 'navigate' hereabouts.

And, of course, if you have any other questions, need a nudge in one direction or another, or are just bored and looking to kill a few minutes, give a shout and one of us will come running! We're good like that.
