Cheater Post..............

What Roger wrote was so good I couldn't do better, so I just added Ody's comments. I'll get better at this. Let me if what I had him say is enough to convey the images he sees.

crap

Not enough to be monsters. Oh, no. Roger has to go and set an obvious trap that we can't ignore.

Okay. Arien can levitate up to cut them down, though cutting through ropes of leeches sounds like a crap idea. It would be six trips, though; he's strong enough to hold a hunter in each hand, but there's no way he's gonna sheath his sword right now.

Eol, do you have a way to magically lower them to safety if Arien cuts them down in one pass?

I don't know how we'll begin to remove magical leeches. I expect this will be tricky, and we're gonna get hurt. Either the leeches themselves are gonna give us a bad time, or the hunters are bait.

Or both.

Ideas?

Posted to the wrong thread. Moved my post, but it mistakenly updated the last five threads.

Question

How do I do color or italics or whatever we are using for character thoughts to themselves?

Hmmm...

... feather fall or telekinesis might be of use in lowering the hunters. Or maybe the creative use of gust of wind?

Olan - Was I suppose to make it easy? *goldfinger voice* No Mr. Thedell, I expect you to die.

lol

If it was easy, we'd be bored.

Feather fall ought to be ideal. Your mage has way more than enough juju to make this work for six hunters.

Then, of course, comes removing the leaches...

see

This is why I hated being a player. You don't know what is going on, you are not sure what is in store and you can only guess as to what the DM has planning and is scheming in his devious coast to coast evil mind. Truly it is so tough to be a player in that situation.

yeah

I love to be the evil schemer, but it's still fun to deal with it.

Worse case, we die. *shrug*

Yep...

...leaning towards feather fall for the hunters. Telekinesis is likely too expensive mana-wise this early on...

...Was also contemplating as to whether or not Web might not be useful (and/or cheaper)... it won't slow the hunters fall but, if J whips up a monster "cube" of webbing, it might just serve as an "air bag" of sorts to cushion their fall... Ya think?

Webslingers

The web spell covers a maximum area of eight 10-foot x 10-foot x 10-foot cubes and the webs must be at least 10 feet thick, so a mass 40 feet high, 20 feet wide, and 10 feet deep may be cast. Creatures caught within webs, or simply touching them, become stuck among the gluey fibers.

nah

Feather fall is cheaper, mana wise, and is tailored specifically for this.

bodies

There is about 20 between the bodies with two over the bridge being the centre so you would need to cover 60x20 with web to catch them all. You also need to moor the web to something
