Your equipment has been loaded into a bin on the APC; there is no reason you cannot retrieve it.
I think that Eol was looking more at the "do I really want to wade into melee while badly wounded?" more than "I think I need a blaster, since my stuff is gone."

Actually, Lana's pic is done but I'm having scanner issues... not sure what the sound it's making is but soundeth not good and yon lamp moveth nary a twitch. 
Was planning on replacing with an All-in-one jobby come Christmas time (cuz my printer is ancient and worn out, too)... may have to do that a few weeks early, though.
