moving on out, to a delux trip in the sunshine!

I agree with this. I'll get a post up soon about convincing her, but let us also keep things moving.

Convinced

The back post idea works for me. Shade is a good idea. Let's say one of the bigger folks picked her up mid wail and hauled her outside with the group. I can pick up with her walking under the shade in a foul mood. Does that sound good to everyone?

Not trying to take slow things down. Cooperation will be there, I just want to stay true to the character.

deal

You shall be given a ride out of doors. Ochit can't be the only one Morrigu is upset with. lets make it everyone. Post coming.

Update - post done. We have left the tavern. I suppose we should probably figure out a walking order. Is the Doc really going to hold up shields over Morrigu? Honestly, I don't know exactly what the issue is. Will a cloak and hood be enough for her? Will shields actually help? Do we want a big guy in the front and another in the back? Raynard should be pretty solid as well. Crowe at point or protected? Enquiring minds want to know.

Perfect!

That picking her up acton was great! Hope you enjoy her attentions

Morrígu doesn't need to sleep either, just a short trance. She'll be at watch too. Also, if she can hide casting a cantrip, she'll play a trick on Trossach just before morning. Maybe scent his bedroll. I'm sure once he figures out the source Trossach can find something equally entertaining to visit on the little drow.

Whaddaya say Nomad?

Hmmmmm

We will see what happens.

But, gee, any wonder why he suggested she always be on watch with someone else watching her? I never had a party member I was worried about before. Interesting.

I will say, if he wakes up to an odor that would put the group at risk because he is "smellable," you would find one very angry Mul. Just sayin'. Doesn't mean you can't do it.

Hey, so I ended up being a lot busier than I had anticipated this week. I'll try to get a post up tomorrow morning, but most likely will be posting Tuesday.

If I don't post, Reynard will take watch if asked to, and will use a burning branch as a torch when he patrols the perimeter of the camp.

that's okay!

I've been busy irl as well, haven't been able to put as much time in this as I could.

I'm going to assume that you guys will be keeping the same watch rotation every night and will roll the perception checks accordingly. That okay?

As well, do you guys want to fastforward to when something interesting happens?

Edit:

Just read everything, I'm loving dynamics. Just don't get too pvpish

Moving the game along

For post style games it is often a good idea for the GM to "fast forward" to points that require player input. Any background can be given in the GM post up to the point of player action. In other games I have played we set a standard description of how we camp. For example: When we camp we always gather wood for a fire, cook our meal and then set watch in the following order (names of who is on watch and the order of watch). Same thing for marching order. The only time we spell out anything else is if there is a change. The GM can then skip past the need to get everyone's input each night and if there is an occurrence he can figure out who was on watch or say it happened while gathering wood or whatever. He gives all the info up to the point the players take over for their actions. At times we have skipped over several days when it was nothing but travel and there were no encounters. Just a thought.

To fight or not to fight?

I'm not sure I understand what Ochit means.

So, what does everyone think we should do? Help the obnoxious and overbearing elves? (What would our Drow friend say?) But they are better than the other guys, who might be zombies or they might not. Do we watch before acting? Or simply slide on past to get their first? Or watch and follow after allowing the elves, if they don't need rescuing, to trigger the traps first? Jumping in now might give them impression that we think they need help and that might just make them angry. Or embarrassed and thus angry.

Q for the DM: Didn't all the groups start out as groups of six? I think I remember the post saying four elves. Do we see corpses anywhere? Or any type. Do we have an impression of who is winning this fight?

Ochit has noticed the number of arrows in the bodies of the 8 and wonders how they keep fighting and do not die. We should leave quickly as the 8 cannot follow or attack us while they are giving the elves. We need to find the items first. It may not airways be ready to understand ochit and that might be on purpose. You can airways ask in character.

@ Nomad, good catch, You are actually able to distinguish that although 6 of the "zombies" have very old armour that is cracked and abused from the weather, 2 of them have relatively clean and well taken care of armour

Judging by who is winning the fight.. It's hard to say, but you can probably guess the elves will win the fight but they'll take a few injuries. That is if the group of 8 don't change abruptly. (they have very jerky and slow movements)

EDIT:
If you guys want to fight, I'lll come up with a quick sketch of a map for you guys. That way you can see how you'd like to position yourselves.

Btw: Concerning spellcasters, This is a reminder to be a bit.. secretive about your powers around other people.

Mechanics for defiling will be the following

Defile: You have a -2 modifier when casting on defiled ground. If you are casting in neutral ground, you defile the first 5 feet for no modifier, If you defile an additional 5 feet radius, you can up the spell slot of whatever you're casting by 1.
On luscious ground, you have a +2 modifier for first 5 feet, then you can defile an additional 5 feet radius, you may up your spell slot by 2.

((It seems powerful and it is. If you have any advice on preservers that'd be good))

Preservers: You have a -1 modifier when casting on defiled ground. If you are casting in neutral ground, you do not have a modifier. On luscious ground, you may cast with a plus 1 modifier without the defiling.

I'm going to write up a spell that essentially protects from defilers, preventing a set part of land from being defiled for x amount of hours, days or minutes. I'm thinking that'll be the tradeoff?

Basically defilers get more power, preservers get less but can protect.
