So I guess Lum just has Common and Orc.

Yes Ody

I need the languages of your character because the issue will come up soon.

Lum does not need to pick. T need 1, R needs 3 and M needs 4. You can decide that your player does not have the all the languages they could, that is up to you.

BB - M could have picked up ASE from any number of sources so yes she could know it.

List of languages:
Valka (Common)
Human
Elf
Dwarf
Orc
Saurian
Halfling

Ancient Saurian
Old Elven
Lagree (mages only)
Old Orc
Ancient Dwarf

Darkspawn
Troll
Ogre
Goblin

Goin' Old School

Rhyson is a bit of an old-world scholar, I think.

So, Old Elvish, Lagree and Old Dwarf.

Compare Notes.......

It would be nice if we cover as many languages as possible.
so we all have common so we can talk to each other and Lum covers Orc as an extra.

Her Languages and stuff

Basic Languages:
Valka (Common)
Human

Additional Languages:
Orc (Learned from Lum)
Ancient Saurian
Lagree (mages only)
Darkspawn

She says that the Spirits taught her the Ancient Saurian and the Darkspawn languages. The orc she learned over the last year from talking and working with Lum. (I assume Ody is ok with that. )

I plan to put up another post tonight stating her suggestions for their plan to assault the bugs, and to state ‘Officially' what she will do in battle.

Post up

Ok so I had some free time before I left work.

Just put together what we had discussed in the Q&A.

Anyone is welcome to add in anything else.

Time to go. Ciao!

What Else Do We Need...?

I'd your first two are Elven and Common.

Then what do you feel he might have?

Maybe Saurian as he might have learned the language of his enemy?

Saurian

I agree with Ody. Saurian

If Saurians were one of the traditional powers in the world and are still significant today, it seems like that is a good language to know. We don't have stuff like Troll and goblin, but we do have Orc and the darkspeech (Not quite the right name, but something like that.) This gives us most of the old langauges, most of the big racial languages and a couple of dark ones.

Ok

Looks like everyone is in agreement and we have a plan. I think we should be able to pull this off without too much fuss. I mean if the GM killed us on the 1st encounter, it would be the shortest Adventure in history.

It's all yours Oh Mighty, Benevolent, and extremely Talented GM. Hey doesn't hurt to try and butter him up a little.

good rounds

I have posted the combat. No one is injured in the party so far, although Lum's armour is really messy now.

Just a reminder to spellcasters - Arcane Blast does not cost you mana.

Rhyson got a critical strike on his first chain lightning and the FB's failed their willpower vs Spellpower check. Right now, both of them are critically injured (25% or less left of original HP).

Nice

Good first round. Might want to save the lightning now and just finish them the old fashion way.

Darn, I forget about that Arcane blast. Will have to make use of that here.

Is there a range on that blast? How does it work? Can you give a brief description of it? Thanks!

blast

Arcane Blast - you can make a special Ranged Attack that damages foes with a blast of magical energy. This is resolved like a normal Ranged Attack (so criticals are possible), but the attack roll is an Accuracy (Arcane Blast) test. An Arcane Blast has a range of 16 yards and inflicts 1d6 + Willpower damage +lvl. (You are lvl 4)

It requires no mana points to make this attack.

Well Good....

Yea, we survived the first round.

I'd say M does the Arcane Blast on the bug nearest T.

Then bugs attack. L is still standing guard over R & M.

Then T and L whomp up on the bugs. Slice and dice as best they can.

Then if either bug is still alive R does the Arcane Blast on it.

A plan

Sounds like a good plan. Any other suggestions or issues?
