I always wanted to play a superhero. I can't wait till we get started, and my character isn't even finished yet. I like what I'm seeing in all the characters. Though I think Disturbance's name should be changed the Doomsday.

Also, Altaira asked me earlier if you all start out with and/or are aware of your powers... The answer is yes. Given the events described in the game thread prelude, metas first started appearing in late 2012/early 2013, so it's entirely feasible that you've had your powers for around 4 years or so by the time the game starts. Of course, some metas don't express as quickly as others and, as such, some of you may have only become aware of your abilities only recently (within the last year or so)...

Let's do it this way: if your character is working for the Project, they've likely been aware of you since the beginning and you've been aware of your powers for just as long. If you start the game on the other side of the coin (i.e. you're a subject/detainee) I'll let you decide exactly how long you've been aware of and/or using your abilities. You can take the whole four years or you can decide that your powers have expressed in just the last month or two... Sound like a winner?

Okay... I've gotten PMs from a couple of you asking if you were going to start out having already been captured or, instead, if you were going to get the chance to RP it out...

Originally I had intended to write out the captures as an intro post or two (kind of like the way I did with the original run) but, given the comments and such that I've received in the threads and via messages, and seeing as how there are a relatively equal number of PCs on both sides, I think, maybe, letting you guys play it out would be fun! Plus, it might just get us all into posting that much sooner... Anyone opposed?

Ok, I think Brea (pronounced Bree, as the 'a' is silent), will have first started to notice some strange goings on a little over a year ago and has been experimenting whenever she could be alone. She is still dabbling and has never had to use them against anyone.

That being said, I would enjoy playing out the 'capture' part. I'm sure that those agents experienced with their abilities shouldn't have too much difficulty in obtaining someone who is a novice and isn't expecting any trouble. Then again, the difficulty level depends on the approach.

My character is based on a short story that I wrote long ago and have lost (was published in a local comic fanzine that a few of us wrote and self published).

You will understand why he is called Disturbance.

Doomsday is also a good moniker, but does not fit with the way the character was originally created.

I was looking at his powers and it reminded me of the Doomsday character from Batman vs. Superman movie. Disturbance is way better looking though.

Preston had worked as an Agent for a Secret Organization and had 5 different 'Cover Identities' that he secretly operated under/as at different times in his life!

The result of an Exploding Bomb fractured his psyche and has caused him to have 5 Distinct Personalities: hence, the name he has been given: Disturbance!

I am about to type up the 5 descriptions and send them to Eol to add to the Character Info for Disturbance!

We look to have a very interesting and diverse group so it should be a blast!

you think you cheated Disturbance and Penumbra some how? I thought Penumbra's power set was pretty good.

Hammer - got 'em! I'm sure I'll make some kind of vile use of them... I'm wicked like that!

Silent - Pembrook's suit is definitely going to be utilized in Overwatch's power-set... technically, it was designed to nullify his powers (which he didn't want and is trying to get rid of) but it's also powered by his ability and will have some "powers" of its own.
