Making my little introduction

Well uhh hello, I guess! I found he Inn a few days ago while checking out resources for extra equipment lists/prices. I'm a player of nearly 4 years now, and a DM as of maybe a couple months ago. A wee little one, started with a brief game of 3.5e, attempted 4e but well I'll just say our group doesn't talk about that session anymore. Settled in with 5e as it kinda plays more toward storytelling than overwhelming stats, as I see it. I've been browsing the site and I must say it's lovely to see a nice community like this. I look forward to existing here, I suppose.

Great!

That's certainly reassuring. I'm not often involved with large communities, so I spent a good hour debating on whether I should post or not pfft

How ironic!

I was just bitten by a goat over the weekend! Great name!

Now, as per tradition... *kaboingityboingboingjinglepounce*

Goats are Fun

Ah, yes I got the name from my RP-mates in voice chat saying I yawn like a Goat. I appreciate the lick, it's quite welcoming.

Welcome......

Well it's a little late to give a towel, but here is one anyway. Getting that Eol drool off sometimes takes some effort.

Time to add the Ody welcome.

A really good place to start here is "Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies." That will help you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.

To meet folks in real time pop into the DragonChat.

Here at the Inn I act as the current resident bartender in the common room. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale that is so light it has the foam on the bottom.

Just grab a mug off the shelf and draw a cold frosty one.

My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.

He never says anything, must have something to do with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bar tender over at the Angry Orc Bar & Grill.

I'll have him put out a plate of "Lady Fingers" in your honor.

Reminds me we need to have another "Ladies Night" and restock.

Anyway the "Posting Games" are great place to get to know folks and of course the DragonChat is our favorite lounge.

So lurk or play, welcome to the Inn

Odyson

For now,

I'll probably lurking for the most part. I'm on a weekly DMing schedule for my custom setting over Discord with five rowdy players. I'd love to get involved, but as one might assume, I'm a little squished on the gaming front. Still, I'll do my best to at least get involved in whatever else I can get my socially impaired little fingers on.

great thing

about the inn is it's a play by post and most of the dm's running games only require a once a week post.

Welcome to the inn - I'm also a somewhat lurker too, though you may see me post in a game here or there from time to time.

Welcome

Welcome to the inn, it is a great place to game. If you are interested in joining a game I can suggest a couple. If not, watch, lurk and wipe of the Eol drool.

Depends

I'd certainly be interested in some options, however I've picked up that most of the content here is... exactly the editions I haven't played. I had a brief stint in AD&D, in which my caster carried the party through maybe an hour's worth of content before partywiping VIA accidental rod of fireball. If there's anything I can jump into to just get the general feel of the style here, I may be up for that.

Lost mine?

The Lost Mine game is a 1st level 5.0 D&D game. It is a pretty simple game and I suspect you could either take over a character that is already there or make your own. The GM has you do your own rolls, but it isn't hard.

To be honest, in most games I let the GM worry about the rules and I just sort of say what my character is doing without worrying about the details.

Fun little coincidence,

I'm actually running that irl at the moment! My DM's on a school schedule, so we've only had one session, but I'm playing a Firesoul Genasi Phoenix sorcerer. Not the most conventional character, but I would be up for either carrying him over or making a new character. I vaguely checked up on the Q&A a few minutes ago, am I correct in assuming the party is currently in the lovely goblinoid cave in basically stage 1 of the adventure?

Yep, goblinoid cave it is

Yes, we are still in stage one of the adventure having just entered the goblins cave. We ended up down to two active players - and have a NPC ranger with us. I have no doubt someone could take over the ranger or join the group.
