Hello Fellow Gamers - Do You Have a Sense of Humour?

Hi, I'm Steve and I have been playing fantasy games for over 30 years, starting with AD&D. I've worked my way through versions 2, 3 & 3.5 before switching to the ‘dark side' - Pathfinder!

Last year I created my website (www.PunsAndDragons.com) and Twitter & Facebook accounts, where I have been posting cartoons ever since. I now have a good following and have therefore decided to collate them into a book which is ready to be unleashed on the world! I will shortly start a Kickstarter campaign for the book - "The Pun Master's Guide".

I still play AD&D, Pathfinder and Zombicide but not as much as I'd like due to work commitments. I also really enjoy the online Neverwinter Nights D&D worlds of Amia and Arelith, although I have really struggled in the last couple of years - but I do intend returning in earnest in the future.

I've read a lot of Forgotten Realms books too, in particular those by R. A.Salvatore.

As a child I also loved drawing cartoons but stopped at the age of 12 to play sport, read, study, get a job and raise a family: I hasten to add, I didn't do all these aged 12.

A couple of years ago I realised that my kids were becoming independent and I had some more free time - so I picked up my pen and gave it another go - and loved it. They say 'you don't lose your gift' - well I don't have a gift, so I haven't lost it! Hence my website!

In the meantime I thought I'd get more involved in the community and I look forward to contributing, in my own way, to the forums. I hope to spread my passion and sense of fun!

Welcome Steve

It's nice to welcome you to the Red Dragon Inn.

So a little about the Inn even if you don't plan to join a game. As you hopefully have already seen there's a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn. If your looking for more info a good place to start here is "Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies.".

Which itself was written by an Inn member to help new people just like you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.

The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it's members with respect and we will treat you the same.

So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you'll feel quite at home here.
And though this is the greeting I post to all newcomers do not feel that I am not glad to see a new person come to our home, far from it. Its just easier and quicker this way as we do get a lot of newcomers at times. So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed. I look forward to reading your jokes.

Also here's a towel, always keep it handy as Eol likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

I look forward to your particular brand of mayhem.
