sorry I haven't posted. I'm at home single parenting my brood this weekend. I thought I'd have time and space to post last night... and, well, I pretty much just crashed. I imagine it will be the same tonight and tomorrow too.

Lady Dark, if you want to move this forward, Aymani will be in favour of leaving in the morning with wagons. She wasn't prepared to leave tonight and has good byes to say before she can go.

Alright guys, I'll be doing an update tonight to move things forward. 

However, in the future, if the party is presented with a choice, I'm not making it for you guys again. 

Come on folks!  We need a decision.  Bory isn't from this town, but unless someone from here things we should take the tunnel - why not go by the gate???   Speak up.  

I haven't checked in in a bit. That's on me, as the notifications were working. I just kept finding myself without time.

Thats no excuse though. I apologize to you all.

Soren will prefer to stay above ground, but isn't willing to make a big stink over it. I will post something to that effect forthwith.

You have multiple options for what you want to investigate first. Ghostwood, the animal attacks, Lya's death

The party will leave Watertown via wagon through the main gates. You have approximately 8 hours to make your arrangements, say your goodbyes, etc. Bear in mind the shops wil open around 6am.

Last week was busy and stressful (lots of gov't bureaucracy and other such nonsense that I won't bore you with) and, sadly, it's carried over into this week, too. Will do my best to get caught up and posted soon.

You stated that our options were:  Ghostwood, the animal attacks, Lya's death.

But don't all of those start with going to the town of Ghostwood?  Is there an option other then go out the main gates and head to that town and see what we can find?  Do we have some guess about things beyond just going to the local tavern and starting to talk to people?  You list Ghostwood as if it is somehow separate from the other two options.

You're free to go anywhere. You aren't limited to just the options presented - you just need to bring up your ideas. For example, if you wanted to focus on Lya's murder, Bory might suggest a visit to his mentor to learn more, since his letter to Bory mentioned the death of an old friend whose sister asked for help. 

Investigating the animal attacks will take you near Ghostwood, or to it if you decide to check the town before checking out the area around the town first. 

the options presented to you - main gate or tunnel - were suggested for your safety, since it's believed that there is imminent danger in accepting this task. You're absolutely able to say "on second thought, we'll charter a boat at the docks and sail up to Port Sac instead." 

THe beauty of D&D is that your DM is a tour guide, but you're the ones driving the bus.  

Yeah, I get that we can do just about anything, but your comments seemed to suggest something, so I wanted to be sure if that was right.  Anyway, Bory is assuming that they will head for Ghostwood.  (Unless his mentor would be sorta on the way, which I'm really not sure about.)
