What would he have said?

Aranwen's original assumption

Aranwen was playing to a long con, believing that by being seen as broken, she might gain an advantage in the complacency of her captors. To ask about Kithran directly would suggest she still had an objective, still had the will to be curious and perhaps fight.

She anticipated being made a servant, or perhaps worse. Though untrained in stealth or true subterfuge, she had the plan in her mind that she would use the unfamiliarity of the keep to her advantage. Explain her errant wandering with being lost. And, in that way, make herself a map, finding where Kithran was, perhaps getting a message to her, and waiting for an opportunity.

Though, that was what she hoped to be able to do. She was aware that the situation as it was, there was an incredibly high likelihood that she'd be made to serve Davena personally, and perhaps be too entangled in that to do much more. She could only trust the others to be able to take advantage of the same idea, that they may yet snatch victory from absolute defeat

Alright

Alright, I forgot Ara was the best. I'll take the blame for that.

Well, you know...

...for a greater majority of the time we were locked up, we didn't even see the priest (unless I read the posts incorrectly). He was there when we initially put in the cells and didn't show up again until he had his "deal" to offer up and, at that point, Ch'dau was in his infection induced coma, so... yeah.

Besides, I doubt Ch'dau would have believed he'd get an honest answer from the man, anyway.

All correct points.

And to be fair, he'd have confirmed she was alive, little more.  It wouldn't have helped his cause to let you guys know she was broken.

I see I see

That makes sense. I'm sure if he was like, "she and the priestess are now in a weird relationship and living happily together", no one would have believed that.

yup

Presactly.  And truth be told, it was better for him to not give details, anyway.  Let them believe they are rushing to save their suffering comrade.

Think about it; evil cultist mentality probably just leaves an ally behind if said ally had gone to the other side.  Why would he risk the party doing the same, when he needed the muscle to help overthrow Davena?

Black wedding

Thanks guys! Our young nation is 102 today (or yesterday). Not very old, but we've done pretty darn well so far.

I've finally posted. Sorry it took so long again. I was a bit tired, so it's a bit messy. But hey, since Cedric is more than a little confused, it kind of fits.

In This Moment - "Black Wedding feat. Rob Halford ... - YouTube

"Priest are you there?
Can you hear my voice?
Do you hear my prayers?
Are you out there?
Forgive me priest
For I have sinned (I know not what I do)
Mother I am here, I can hear your song
I can feel your fear, he's done you wrong
Temptation fed, his own desires
In the ring of fire (in the ring of fire)

Tonight
I would've loved you for a thousand years
I would've died for you
I would've sacrificed it all my dear
I would've bled for you
'Til death do us part
You were unholy right from the start
It's a nice night for a black wedding
Yeah it's a nice night for a black wedding

I heard your cry and I just knew
I never meant to forsake you
Mother there's no reason to repent (You know not what you do)
I heard the bells and I just knew
An angel once, now a ghost of you
Deliver me from my own desires
From my ring of fire (the ring of fire)

Tonight
I would've loved you for a thousand years
I would've died for you
I would've sacrificed it all my dear
I would've bled for you
'Til death do us part
You were unholy right from the start
It's a nice night for a black wedding
Yeah, it's a nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding

Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Come on!

I would've loved you for a thousand years
I would've died for you
I would've sacrificed it all my dear
I would've bled for you
'Til death do us part
You were unholy right from the start

It's a nice night for a black wedding
Yeah it's a nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding
Nice night for a black wedding

In my name shall they cast out demons
They shall speak in new tongues
They shall take up serpents
And if they drink any deadly poison
It shall in no wise hurt them
They shall lay hands on the sick
And they shall recover
The serpent is only brought into the Holy Sanctum
And only handled
If the Holy Ghost
Of the Holy Spirit
Speak directly to the Disciple"

The power of Solanis is compelling!

Awww Cedric! He's just doing his best ;___;

Love that song too, Raven! The tone and theatrics of it gave me some real Ghost (the band, not the song I posted) vibes and reminded me a little of their song Square Hammer. As well as a few others, if you're into that kind of thing

Anyhoooooo, just gonna go back to feeling very bad about Kith betraying everyone she knew and loved and waiting on pins and needles for Olan's next post AND HOORAY THE KAZARI IS STILL SORT OF MOSTLY-ISH ALIVE *hug tackle Cedric*

That is promising

Can't hope for everyone to survive if Ch'dau is left to bleed out after all

Now we just can only wait and see

Cedric really could use a break after all this... poor guy's been brought so far over his head

I've been sick these past couple of days. Haven't seen all the discussion until now. Aw... sad.

And loved the post for Cedric. Awesome.
