Oofta, yeah, that's not fun. Kith will ignore Davena since she wasn't helpful to her and approach Aranwen, Midge and the others about the pendant possibly being a key, though if there are any other takers to test the thing on the door, Kith will glaaaadly give it up. If it seems useless she'll just pocket it again.

Edit: thanks Reralae. I'm busing on into work right meow but I'll include Aranwen's helping her out when I have a chance to edit!

Post in the works...

...given all of the fodder that's come since my last, it might be a tad lengthy. Aaaaand I get the feeling that being underground is going to trigger a memory or two, as well... We'll see.

Sticky Finger Syndrome, always touching s*** she shouldn't be tsk tsk tsk

Like cages in a necromancer's dungeon, perhaps?

"What have you done?"

Such is the way of the real world!

Sometimes it's all sunshine, lollipops, and unicorns... Other times it's an angry, squeeling toddler that kicks you in the hoo-hah when you try to placate it.

Here's hoping work eases up for you and that you have a great time in Germany!

I mean... at least you get easy access to Hofbrau, right?  If they have any Oktoberfest left, enjoy one for me!

Deutschland

Germany, Lance? I'm so jealous. Whereabouts? Been a couple of years since my last visit.

UPDATE

Alrighty, updated Kith's last post to include the door being a dick, and a brief interaction with Aranwen.

Whew!!!

That was a long one!!!

As stated in the post, Ch'dau isn't thrilled about Kith or Aranwen touching the door again if there's any possibility of the pendant working as a key. If it doesn't appear that such is the case... I dunno... I guess we can let Ara give it a shot.

To be clear - Kith has defnitely touched the door once already.  Ch'dau is wanting to give his own input before anyone touches it again?

Let's hash this out here in the Q&A, if we can.

IF she really is immune/resistant to it, I think Ara having a go at the door, whether determining if the pendant is a key, or just seeing if she can push/pull it to any affect, is an idea--not a great one, but it is one. And if there are no better ones, that's how I'm voting.

Unless the casters have some sort of dispel abilities?

Right...

...Ch'dau knows that Kith has already touched the door (though I appear to have forgotten to inlcude his reaction to that in post), so his not thrilled with the idea of anyone else touching it, either, unless there's no other option, even if they do have full blown Syl immunity to paralysis.

Would Kith have seen anything in her perusal of the door that might indicate the skull pendant she took from the priest might be used as a key? If so, Ch'dau would recommend that one of them test it out. He'll volunteer himself having seen Kith's reaction to touching the door but, given Aranwen's resistance, it may make more sense to let her do it. In absence of a "keyhole," or any other option, Ch'dau will relent, of course, and the bladesinger can give it a shot.

On the subjects of keys and holes...

The skull pendant looks extremely similar to the design on the door.  However, the doors have no keyholes, slots, or any other openings on them, let alone any place that a pendant looks like it would fit into.

In addition...

Given Kith was the one carrying it, we can potentially rule out a matter of proximity with the door, since if proximity was all that mattered, the door would've opend on Kith's approach
