From here...

Bladesong now joined in full - without needing to worry about stealth, Aranwen can fight in the front line, which means between her and Ch'dau, I'm reasonably certain there isn't going to be much that will be able to resist their advance

Especially with Kithran hiding behind Ch'dau and firing sneak attack shots on occasion.

Also, very important... is Kithran keeping hold of the Sae-doll or what is she doing with that?

Great post!!!

Formation going forward sounds good to me, too... and, in addition to those sneak-attacks, I can see some potential for Kith and Ch'dau to "practice" some of that DFA business, as well.

As to resistance, I imagine we might encounter some of whatever remains of Adedre's guardsmen (not sure exactly how many of those might be left, tbh, but I'll give it some thought), possibly a skeleton or six, and, if things go really bad for the slitch, we may even face an alcolyte or two... and, of course, Adedre, herself.

Got to go and help the wife with some things at her work, here, shortly, but I'll keep this stuff in mind and see if I can't get a few more details sketched out when I get home.

*punch dance*

Re: Doll: I almost said something about that too. Initially, she was going to tear it up or use it as target practice because f*** those things, but after finding out it's Sae, she's just going to toss it back in the rubble.

SURELY nothing will come of that.

Re: DFAs: *stretches*

Kith will follow with her shortbow drawn. If they face the guard, she'll stay back and shoot for a while before launching in; if they're skellies, she'll stow the bow and jump in where she can to smash here, kick a leg out there, DFA from up there, that sort of thing.

*evilgrin*

"I was there when the strength of human blood failed. She could have ended it that day, but evil was allowed to endure..."

Sorry I got that scene from Lord of the Rings on the mind at the moment.

It's okay, Kithran will get to have her own doll friend later on that isn't the Kith-doll so she doesn't have to feel left out.

GREAT

Oh, hmmm, what a an odd line to get stuck in your head out of the blue like that. Hhhhhhhweird.

Too bad it's not a Kith-doll. One of her biggest regrets in life is that she will never be able to watch herself in action. If there was a Kith-doll, she could. And then she could fight it to establish who the alpha-Kith was.

Anyway, who the gosh darn heck would Morgana have that Kith would care about? Hmmmmmm

Stop evil grinning at me.

On a related note

In the hypothetical scenario where Morgana is killed by our trio without any exposition on the why she is the way she is and why she is currently targeting Aranwen, would you two like me to share those details?

Projected side effects include potentially emotional gut punches

Well, it's not like we're unused to gut punches where our little trio is concerned, right?

My vote is yes.

I vote . . .

Yes! My gut was made for punches.

But only if/after they end up killing her. I like the myyyystery. Plus, maybe it comes out some other way!

Hmm, I'm waffling the more I think about it.

Uuuummmm, I do really want to know, but only if a chance for exposition doesn't arise.

EDIT: maybe just tell Eol for now

Tell Eol...

... especially if it might have any bearing on post HC events. *nods*

I mean, Ch'dau and Ara probably knew each other fairly well at the time HC was happening but likely came to know muuuuch more about one another during their time together in Aftermath, right?

Yeh, but we're talking about Morgana. Her reasons for going after Ara might not just be because she's hot hot hot lol maybe she just, ya kbow, reminds her of someone or something?

But I mean, I don't wanna know for KCandK's mysteries sake, but if it does have a lot to do with Ara and what we'd know about her by Aftermath, I guess yeah, it'd make sense to spill the beans.

Hmm...

I don't foresee any particular impact on post-HC1, with respect to Morgana's origins anyhow. I just meant that it's a little tragic

One of the eventual encounters in KCandK would certainly reinforce Aranwen's survivor's guilt, but that is more of an explanation of why it's still there even post-HC1 as opposed to anything new.

Anyhow, to the mailboxes *fairypoofs*

Mmmm

You are probably right. Seems fun there.

Another thing! Totally forgot I wanted Kith to warn them of the shades that pop out at different angles when the dolls attack! Maybe she'll just whisper it sweetly as they head up the stairs.

And another thing! So, for real this time, if one of these characters die in HC2: Corruption Harder, we're retconning the absolute s*** out of it, yes? And just heading back to Meadowbrook as one totally normal little family? Just making sure we're on the same sheet of parchment here.

EDIT: AND ONE MORE THING, I had to look up what a turret room was because I couldn't figure out why there would be bookshelves in a room with a turret gun and omg Adedre has a turret gun room? I've been adequately mollified lol anywaaaaay to the turret room!

And now Eol has caught a glimpse into the inner workings of the entity called 'Morgana'

She has a very twisted psyche, and is very devoted to her motivations, and her A'nia. Truthfully, she'd probably be a much higher level encounter if she didn't use the majority of the power available to her in order to maintain herself and her network of dolls and mannequins...

Re: retcons... Are you suuuuure you want to undo Aranwen infusing Kithran with her life energies to undo the damage to her body that carrying an undead child causes?

I jest  yes to retcon if needed, just as we originally thought may be needed for post-HC
