Posted, I did

A little early too.

Sui, if Percy accepts Pio`s offer, we can RP our conversation through PMs if you like.

Also... I apologizes to everyone for using `` as quotation marks throughout my post. My 1 year old son thought if would be cool to pry off the quotation marks key off the keyboard.

Takes after his mom, he does.

waiting

I'm waiting to post, will probably post in a day or two, depending on how many players have posted.

mom?

After his mom, huh? Riiiiiight

Sui, please don't keep waiting too long, and don't let it depend on when other players post. If everybody does that... well, you get the idea.

Ayrn, I read your OOC, and I'm a little stunned... how does your class get all those extras at 4th level... wow...

I'm going to trust you in this, and will ask for your help. I'd like you to tell me each round what your bonuses will be, like you did now. I have no experience with this class, and I really appreciate the explanation.

As for actions: drawing a sword is a move action, unless you have the 'Quick Draw' feat, which you don't. That means this round you can only move, or revise your post and wait another round.

Not trying to be a rule lawyer here...

Actually, on page 142 of the Player`s Handbook, second column, close to the bottom, under the heading `Drawing and Sheathing a Weapon` it states that if a character has a base attack of +1 s/he can draw or sheathe a weapon as part of a regular move action.

As far as the combat stats, I`ll double check the damage additions to make sure that they can stack... but I`m pretty sure they do.

Anyway... if you go with the ruling from the PHB, than I don`t think I need to change anything. If you disagree with that interpretation of the rules than, yes, I will edit it to say that Pio is only drawing his weapon and switching his stance to martial stance, and his aura to power, and taking the total defense action.

check other time

I'll have to read that page some other time. In all my years of table top and online gaming, drawing a weapon was a move action. That was why the 'Quick Draw' came in handy. If you had to draw a weapon and walk somewhere, you still got your attack.

I'll get back to this later. Tomorrow or something. Don't have access to the book right now.

I know, I know...

I always thought the same thing too, until Develaro drew my attention to the little rule in the 3.5 PHB while I was playing in the RDI Arena game. I was, like, "Wha...? "

But I checked it out and there it was. I was, like, "Wha...? "

True story.

Quick draw is still useful for a number of things... like being able to draw a weapon and still make a full-round attack, or to be able to make multiple attacks with thrown weapons.

hmm

yes, but either way, it's a move action. I remember that. I still take quick draw. Plus, it's a bit flawed, as drawing a weapon is a move action, does that mean you can draw 2 weapons at once? not really. Anywho, I posted.

woah

Ayrn, you're right dude! I just read the page, and it's right there:

If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular move.
It's right there! Insanity. It also reads that with the two weapon feat you can draw 2 light or one-handed weapons in the time it would normally take you to draw 1. haha... years of move actions wasted!

So you do get an attack this round, Ayrn.

And Sui, that post is going to stir things up again badly...

yeah...

I am very aware of how much it's going to cause inter-group turmoil. I built the character before I knew the group. I didn't foresee this or I would have built her differently. Still, I gotta play her personality after it's down on paper.

Yay!

Pio's looking forward to working out some tension on the monster.

I'll be away until next Tuesday. Will try to catch up then...

Also, just so ya know, I'm expecting our 5th child to be emerging from its cocoon within the next few weeks (my wife is due on the June 2), so I make be moving in to sketchy posting land.

hah!

Your fifth... wow, congratulations in advance! Thanks for the notice.

And Sui, I didn't mean it in a bad way, really. I'm very curious how you are all going to deal with Percifeer's behaviour. It's not speeding up the process of coming to a conclusion, even though that is what she's trying to accomplish.

I speak it...

...and lo! and behold! It happens!

My wife`s water broke tonight. I suspect our 5th critter to be crawlin out sometime soon(ish).

So, I`ll likely be sketchy for a while. NPC Pio as you see fit!

EDIT: We had a girl! That makes it BOYS - 3; GIRLS - 2.

RDInn Diplomat indeed....

I believe Philo has fallen out of comission for a little while, considering his distressing lack of update in 'Drakenhorde' the game he DM's. As for Jozan, all I know is that he has been away (hasn't posted in Kaelyn's FR game either). I hope they return soon, I'm exited to participate in the fish 'n chips barbeque.
