The next morning

After a good nights rest, each of you finds a note slid underneath your door. The note is sealed with wax and bears the town's official symbol on it. Those who read the note find that it is a summons to meet with the Sheriff at the Town Hall just before noon. He has some business to discuss. It reads

Sandpoint Hero,
It is a great honor to have such heroes as yourself in our town. I have an urgent matter than must be dealt with and I need your assistance. If you are able, come to meet me at the Town Hall just before full sun tomorrow. I will go over the details further when you arrive.
Sheriff Hemlock

Ariellyn.

Ariellyn sips her drink after dinner near the fire place, enhoying the warmth and relitive peace in the common room. When the last bit is sipped she caries the mug to the Innkeep. and passes it back to him. "My thanks for the free drink and the meal. It was most appreciated. I would like a not bath sent up to my room if you please, the hotter the water the better."

Ariellyn looks around the round and heads upstairs. Once inside the room she had been given she goes about it securing it agains unwanted intrustion. A wedge in the widows to keep them shut except for a tine crack for fresh air. and wedge at the door that she will place after the bath is brought and taken away. She builds up the fire so that it warms the room and places a chair near for later. Inpacking her backpack she takes out all her durty items to be washed and a small bar of soap. After her bath she will wask her things out in her bath and reserve one bucket for rinsing them.

About 30 minutes later there is a parade of servants, girls carring bucket of hot water on yokes, a footman with the tie tub. and younger boy with towels and wash cloth. WHEn the last of them leave she strips and slips into the tub for a soak. leaning back and sinking down it the warm water up to her neck. Taken a dab of soap pn and cloth she scrubs herself down quickly and efficently. and then soaks some more. Before the water cools too much she dunk completely under and then waashes her hair. Standing up she takes one reserved bucket and rinse herslf with clean water. Ariellyn steps out dries herself on one of the towels left by the fireplace to keep warm. When dry she puts on fresh undergarment and for now a clean set of clothes.

Now for her dirty clothes, Gathering them from the bed she dumps them into the bath and then soaps them up and scrobs them with a brush viogously. Finally satisfies she uses the last bucket of clean water to rinse them thoroughly. Wringing out the closthes over the tub she twists them tight until she gets out as much water as she can then she wraps them in the last towel and squezzes them again. Braping her wet garment over the dhair bythe firs she calls down for he bath to be removes. Asfter they leave she sedges the door shut. and goes to sit on the hearth with her cloak wrapped about her mostly to let her hair dry before bed.

With long strokes of her brush she spreads out her tresses to speed the drying process. SHe takes out her journal and writes down the days activities and her observations. starring certain parts and thinkgs she has learn that she thinks are important for her to remember.

In the morning she is up with the sun and stretching out before woking on pulling her bow and strengthing her arm that was broken. Luckily it mended quickly enough before her money ran out. What with some of the loot she got from the goblin attack she was in better shape financially. She spots the note when it is placed under her door and picks it up and reads it thoroughly. Good a possible job. She willl be sure to be there on time.

Going downstairs Ariellyn orders breakfast. Not sure if the meal will be free she makes it a simple one, porrige, cream, some dried fruit to mix in the porrrige and honey, and a cider. As she eats she looksa around the room. She is early but figures other will be coming down soon enough.

Again

As Selaro woke up in the morning after a good nights sleep she distinctly remembered those words she thought she had been in a dream 'When you need it, it will serve you.' more distinctly then ever, this was very unlike her to dwell on things and perhaps marked a change in her life that was forthcoming.

Is it turned out she was right, as she was leaving she noticed a small, sealed note. After reading it, she gathered her things, paided the innkeeper and hurried towards The Rust Dragon and towards breakfast and to find Ariellyn.

When Ariellyn arrives down stairs Selaro addresses her
"Good morning Ariellyn, how was your night?" offering her a seat at the table if she wants it
"Did you get a note under your door as well and do you think we should travel to the Town Hall as companions for the adventure or as mercenaries looking for a quick coin?" Selaro jokes, she seems in a much better mood then yesterday, or even the day before when they first met.

If If Ariellyn accepts to go to the town hall Selaro insists on going later as there is some business she would like to attend to.
If Ariellyn declines to go to the town hall Selaro finishes her breakfast and dismisses herself in a friendly manner saying there is some business she must attend to.

OOC: Might peruse the shops later when I have a response.

Areillyn joins Selaro

"Thank you for the inviation. Glady, I shall join you for breakfast," responds Ariellyn as she moves Selaro direction and takes a seat near her but so she can see Selaro without having to twist her head.

"I hope you slept well. I certainly had a good night's rest. And yes I did get a note. I am planning to go to the Town Hall at noon until then I need to shop for a few things. IF you know this town perhaps you can help me to find what I need without wandering all over the place asking questions."

Girls day out

"I slept very well thank you. What is it that you need to purchase?" Selaro asks
"But if you don't mind I would like to visit the jewelers, I'm interested in how much this cost Aldern," Selaro explains
"not to sell them," she adds hastily
"I just want to know how much it's worth."
A bit later on, during breakfast Selaro asks
"So what brought you to Sandpoint? Did you pick to come here or did you just pick a road and follow it?"

Myra back in town

It was good to be back in town. Myra enjoyed the hunt and the meal and although she thought that Aldern had shown childish behavior during the ride back, she had enjoyed getting to know what a Noble's life was like. Being a priestess, she had gotten to know many nobles but only when they were in need of some blessing or some other service. Back in Sandpoint she had been offered a room at the Rusty Dragon. She decided to stay. It was true that she could return to the cathedral, but she knew that this was her adventure and she should try to continue without returning so often to Father Zantus' hospitality.

Heading to her room, Myra quietly locked the door to her room and fell asleep. These beds were more lavish than the ones at the Cathedral and she felt a little guilty sleeping in them. A good nights rest for a good journey ahead. She fell asleep, thinking of the savory flavor of the boar and the thrill of a hunt. She had admired the aim of her companions and their skill with the bow. A skill she did not possess. As she drifted asleep, she thought of Desna and what her will might be for her.

In the morning, Myra awoke and found the letter underneath her door. A summons. She was curious. I wonder what Sherrif Hemlock might want she thought to herself as she read the note. She headed down the stairs and after helping herself to some breakfast, prepared by Ameiko Kijitsu, the taverns owner, she gathered her things and head out into the town to do some shopping. I'm going to need some better adventuring gear if I'm to stay out of trouble , Myra thought to herself as she perused the windows of several shops in town.

Taden

The wizard had been some what reserved since the day before and quiet he wished that his master would be back soon because he could feel that unseen forces were at work. He sipped his drink laying on his bed. He flipped through the book wondering if there was any enchantment on his book as everyone seemed to have recieved a strange blessing. He continued to flip through his book preparing his spells mainly combat spells for it seemed that anyday now whoever had sent the goblins would return.

I wonder why this town there is something that is definatly wrong. Why would someone attack a town like this there has to be something going on that is unknown to me. I suppose i should go around town and search for information. There is something that I am not gathering from all this. ( Gather information roll:17 for 4 hours
)

Ariellyn

"I am afraid this place is but a point on the roadd for me. I," Ariellyn answers Selaro. "As I mentioned I was injured and the remanents of my group moved on while I was recovering. I did learn from them that I must be more careful in who I chose to adventure with, that is for sure. ANyway as soon as I was fit to travel I moved on the local area was mostly agraian and as such not many turn their hands to adventuring for ther livelyhood. So I followed the road and here I am."

Ariellyn continuees, "I had just arrived yesterday before the attack. I was trying trying to find a dheal lodging when the goblins attacked."

"Areyou from here or elsewhere." asks Ariellyn

What's wrong with that?

"What's wrong with picking a road? That's how I arrived here. My family home was in Ashen Moor but as I said on the carriage I left to escape my painful history there. she continues but her last sentence seems to say more then it actually dose, it seems to say 'Topic closed, I don't want to continue talking about this.'

Finishing her breakfast she says that she wishes to go to the jewellers and to the Red Dog Smithy to tell her employer where she was so she can resign. But than offers to take Ariellyn to any shop she wants to go to.

In The Town

Taden gets up in the morning putting his invitation to see Sheriff in his pocket. Curious as to who might know any information about the goblin attacks he asks around. Most of the people in town know nothing but they tell him to check with Madame Mvashti, the local seer. She might hold some answers. They also say that it is rumored that Shalelu Andosana might be back in town. She is a ranger who knows the area well. She might also have some insight on the goblin raids. She is known to meet with the Mayor when in town and stay at the Rusty Dragon where she is put up for free with special accommodations.

Selaro and Airellyn make there way over to the Jewelers early in the morning. When they arrive they are greeted by two huge thug like characters at the front door. They look the pair over as they enter in the squat stone building. A wild-haired male stands behind a glass display case looking down onto some items through a special lens. He looks up when you walk in as one of the toughs says customer
As Myra peruses the local windows she finds several items of interest. Not sure what she is looking for she heads to the local general store to find what general items might be for sale. Once inside she is greeted by a handsome teen behind the counter who smiles a charming smile at Agela as she enters the shop. What can I do for you miss he says.

Madam Mvashti

Taden stopped after 4 hours of doing nothing but asking people what they knew about the goblins. Everything seemed to point toward a Ranger and Madam Mvashti. Gathering some information on location (Take 10) He finds his way to her place of residence. He knocks on the door and waits for an answer. Although talking to a ranger is all well and good a seer might be most useful and provide more necessary information which won't be quite clear but i am good at solving riddles. Taden readys his mind for what he might hear if he gets inside.

Areiellyn

At the Rusty Dragon

IF you don not mind I will accompany you this morning. I really have nothing else to do with my time and it might be a way for me to find out more about Sand Point. Finishing her simple meal she waits for Selaro to ride and lead the way. Out in the streets she makes mental notes of where they go and looks at the shop fronts they pass fo rthings she may need. Arrows being one of her main needs.

Out with Selaro.

MostlyAriellyn just looks about her. quite literate even in common she quickly reads the shop signs many useing symbols as well as words for those who don't read. Common goods are often displayed openly so buyers are drawn by the products of a shop. Some actually call out what their wares are.

Selaro makes her was to a well guarded shop. Two burly guards give them a look over before calling out into the shop "Customers" and let they pass inside. As Selaro moves up to the store clerk or owner since she is nt sure she stays a step back since she has no buiness to transact.

Ariellyn does look about to see what is offered though.

Dass

"Greatings, can you please value this neckless for me." Selaro says handing over the necklace.

After getting it back she puts it back on refusing his offers to sell the item. Once she has left the shop she continues to show Areiellyn to the shops and then proceeds to the Town Hall.

Amongst the town.

At the Jeweler Hum ... that is an interesting necklace indeed. Maver Kesk studied the necklace underneath his scope. You are aware that this necklace has magical powers aren't you? I'm not able to tell you what exactly, but it definitely gives off some kind of aura. Someone with more expertise in magic might be able to assist you with that. As for it's value. The necklace alone would be worth a couple thousand silver. With these magical properties .. I would expect another thousand gold on top of that, but again ... I'm no expert there. I can say this pausing for a moment It IS quite lovely
At the Seers Madame Mvashti invites Taden into her house. Her manor from the outside appears to be ancient and decrepit. Inside it is adorned with cards and bones and all sorts of strange items. Stuffed animals align the walls and seem to stare into Taden as he looks at them. She invites him to have a seat. The sage pulls out a set of cards and initiates a reading. You have a question for me .. but it is not this question that you should be asking she says with a wicked and crooked smile.
