Linnix/Reralae: While the reasons yo gave for suspecting Linnix's denial of a sneak attack are all relevent, the more simle reason she wouldn't get it is because the Spider has 'all around vision'. It's multiple faceted eyes-and multiple eyes- prevent it from being flanked thus preventing it from bein sbjected to sneak attack in this case.

As for the skill points. I've reviewed the sheet and tend to agree that 2 more points are needed. As such i've renamed Pick Pocket sleight of hand, and added 2 ranks for a total of +5 in tumble.

Aelistae/Ginafae: I had you stand, and the Spider's missed atttack was his AoO, putting you at the top of the order for the next round. (As you'l notice in previous combat posts, te order of attacks change, as initiative is a round based thing for me, not once per battle as some do.)

Loriel/Brianna: Yes the orc unfortunately got a critical on poor Moonshadow. Ginafae is correct in this case, you would have to shoulder your bow or at the very least hold it one handed whie trying to pull the spear from Moonshadow. It would take a standard action to do so, a full round action if you were being particularly delicate. Moonshadow himself is trying to break the shaft with his bite and pawing at it, but again that could take more time tha you have what with three orcs approaching.

Xaris/ Jozan. I see you online... post something buddy.

et all: Some more Cd points have been given.. take a looksie!

Wow. I gotta get Xaris in a real table top game. He's a bad ass! I can just amagine this little 2 1/2 foot gnome lopping off limbs. First it was the bandits arm, now an orc head.

regarding Zonk and Longshadow

Longshadow is recovering, Zonk is her caretaker, and while they would like to come back in a ew months, now is just not an ption fro what I gather.

I have offered both Zonk and Longshadow a place here should they choose to return. They obviously created two wonderful characters once, and can do so again to rejoin us with my blessings.

Oh, that answers two questions ^-^

although I only asked one, hehehe.
I've been trying to keep Linnix the same, for both game consistency, and for Zonk if they wanted to replay Linnix. I guess this means I can really start having Linnix's character grow now ^-^
Oh, and in her inspection of the short sword, did Linnix find anything regarding what the ??'s in the item description might be?

Short Sword.

The ??'s are a note that the item has not been identified, or appraised, or inspected with a reasonable amount of light or time. The orbs unfortunately don't give that much light... I can however make a penalized search check for the inspection if you prefer.. remember low light penalties. You might want to light a torch?

Ah, OK

Yeah, Linnix wouldn't be that interested in identifying it at this point; she was only making sure the blade was intact and sharp. If she saw an inscription or something with the dim light, however, she might make a mental note to look at it again later.
As it is though, Linnix is unfamiliar with short swords, and so she wouldn't really look at it again until she drew it later (whether for practice or in battle), and even then, it's hard to say whether she'd be paying attention to the actual blade or not.

For all intents and purposes...

The blade is in excellent condition. The blade is sharp, and the blade itself seems of excellent quality.. if not neglected care.
