I'm fine with remaining up front and center! nothing like an Amazon of a woman to defend the group! hehe...I think I like being this big huge bulky chic...

same with me. Only the attitude is this big bulky thing. My 2 1/2 foot gnome would love to be up fron too.

Unless Kas or Loriel no longer want to be in the middle of the group, I'm happy for Aelistae to remain at the back.

Oh and thanks for the healing DM!

Alright..

My question here is this.

Are you the group that's going to go room by room trying to clear every spot of the dungeon? or shall I leave the choices and mingling and decision making amongst you all each time there's a option of where to go?

The first option will speed the game up in allowing me to just post where you go and what you see, but could put you in unwanted danger...

The latter, will slow the game down some, because you'll all need to discuss each and every option each and every time.. banter back and forth, quibble argue, debate and so forth about risk assessment vs possible reward (or in this case finding the wife and child you're searching for)

Personally I always like the group I'm with to clear out every room they come across. But I'm not sure if the others are of the same mind.

I don't think any of us expected this to be a vast underground complex. I was expecting it would just be a cave with a smelly ogre snoozing inside!

SOP

Since this is a goal oriented operation--find the wife and saughter then I expect us to keep on that track. Loooking into evey room whould not be the best way to do this. relying on intelligence and Moonshadows senses is the best way to do this operation.

I vote on moving room to room, as that might help in our quest to find the wife and daughter. THey might be anywhere.

hmm

Yep you have a point. But if I were Aelistae I wouldn't like to leave any critters at my back.

If Loriel can pick up a trail then sure we'll head in that direction. But it might be really hard to do so.

Alright..

So... I'll have you guys move room to room, unless Moonshadow get's a whiff of something to supercede that notion, like a definate scent of Ogre, or perhaps womanly scents or blood or something I dunno, I'll make random Tracking checks for the wolf.

Well

If Linnix can catch anything in terms of hearing muffled cries for help or anything, that'd also help pinpoint where the mother and daughter is... even if that is a bit much to go for.

Well, Linnix is two-minded about the doors: checking all of them out could provide more treasure, and they could potentially run across the mother and the daughter, but at the same time it takes up a lot more time, and they might run into too many enemies. So, in the end, Linnix just follows the group

If I may

What is the possibility of kind of a combo of the above choice?

Look in each door we come across, so as not to leave any enemies at our backs, but not go in and search anything in depth. Perhaps as we backtrack back out of this massive, and seemingly abandoned, and then over taken with fowl type critters, cave, we can search rooms at that time.

Like, maybe Kaelyn can point out what items we see at a quick glance, so we can make notes in our heads which rooms we would like to go back by.

My reason for saying that is that I agree with both arguments. First I thought forget the rooms, go after the women, as Jozan said. But after hearing the other argument, I agree it would be entirely BAD to leave all doors unchecked. We could make it to the chics a ton sooner, but at what cost? We could be assaulted by an onslaught of creatures, rather than having the chance to dispatched them in (hopefully) small spurts. Of course, there MAY not be anything more...but I find that increadibly unlikely concidering who the DM is.

So...what do ya'll think? Would that be a workable possibility?
