Does the cloak that Talus identified have the image of Shar died into it or embroidered into it? Just asking because if it was the former, Aelistae could quite happily re-die it and wear it.

Although I do think it's an item better suited for Linnix.

well Artanis has the shield, so it seems more equitable to spread the magic items around a little.

when i looked at her sheet, I swear it said her strength was 15. I was gonna let her have it because it would give her an actual strength bonus of +3 instead of +2. But its the same as mine. and I forgot that she had the shield. If everyone doesnt mind I think the belt would be good for Xaris.

I presume Linnix will want the cloak. So does Talus want the staff?

I'm the only one with Use Magic Device, and Summon Nature's Ally isn't clerical, so I think I'm the only one who could use the staff. I've never been one for summoning, but I guess I'll hang onto the staff just in case.

Plus Talus is the only one who won't have their street cred. ruined by carrying around a glorified walking stick.

That still leaves the cloak. Do you want it for Linnix, Reralae?

Sorry, I kind of missed out on the magic item discussion since I wasn't really paying attention to it... but sure, it would come in handy if Linnix needed to sneak around somewhere

Linnix isn't really intent on 'buying' it though; she's saving for something... well, just in case 'something pops out at her', and the cloak hasn't quite, at least not yet.

Well we either bid for items we want or try and move away from the system altogether. If people get items without bidding, then it can result in magic items not being spread out (which is what the system is designed for). It'll also mean that people such as Artanis, will never be able to pay off what she owes on her shield.

On second thought, why don't we do away with the system?

It means Aelistae will be out of pocket (and Artanis too), but I'd rather we just hand out items equitably. It seems silly to me if Linnix refuses to wear the cloak, since she's the only one among us that can make good use of it.

First and Foremost, I'd like to Welcome Sibelius Eos Owm to the game, he will be replacing the late Solvy with a new character, you may remember him in the q/a throughout the history of the game with little tidbits and comments here and there.


Secondly, I'm all for getting rid of the bidding for items system, I implemented it as a guidelines for fairness. If you al think you can do without it so be it, and we'll try it that way. (Linnix get's the emblaizoned Shar cloak, Talus the Staf Xaris the Belt, and Artanis the Shield free and clear) and we leave past expenses to the wind.

Because I'm in a GRAND mood, and have also written a most diabolical plotline to be introduced at some point (perhaps that's why I'm in a grand mood? I wonder hmmm) I have decided that Sibelious may Start at level 5, and Talus my good man you may up your character to level 5 as well to match the others.doing such will keep my math neat, allow my scaling to be a bit higher (muhahaha) and generally please everyone for having more firepower on YOUR side for a change lol.

I've reset everyone's XP to the same amount (except for RP and Ad hoc bonuses I've given certain people for individual actions / posting CD points etc etc) Oops did I just let it slip that CD points might also give exp bonuses? goodness gracious I'll start a riot of CD point donations!
