Easy?

Maybe for your character.

In the last skirmish, Intella got seriously ginsued, slice-and-diced, and julienned ...

All in one hit.

Anyways, I'll finish it at work if need be so I can get the blasted thing up, I know more than a few of you have high expectations or anxiety about what's about to happen.

So Elendil shot Aelistae. Just as well Aelistae's not the vengeful type, otherwise...

a question of inches

when Aelistae points out the "enemy" snipers, what's the distance between us and them?

and how close is Talus to the mass of goblinoids?

100'

is the distance between Elendil (read enemy sniper) and Aelistae / the party. You who are double moving, are probably near the corner of the keep, rounding it coming into view as the arrows are shot as it were. So maybe 30-50 ft from Aelistae who is currently along with the other's blocking the gate with swarms of gobboes and greenskins on the other side... SO, assuming you've reached behind Aelistae where Linnix say is, there's less than 30ft between you and the enemy.

Update tomorrow!

Appendix A

I had to go look a lot of this crunchy stuff up, so most of the following is for my own benefit for later (when i forget again)...

The Will save for Talus' Baleful Utterance should be 14*. If it fails the object shatters and the creature holding it is dazed for 1 round and deafened for 10. If it succeeds, nothing happens and I'll need to change the last two paragraphs of my last post.

Range is 35 (25+5/2levels)

*10 + 2(spell level equivalent) + 2(charisma)

Talus' post

I haven't ever played or even considered playing a warlock before, but I have to say that Talus' posts do make the class seem really funky.

yay

Glad he sounds interesting. I wasn't sure at first how to describe being able to cast spells at will. No studying, no meditation, no prep at all... they just can.

Warlocks have fascinated me since Complete Arcane first came out. They'll have, by 20th level, access to only 12 spells. They could take feats to expand that number by 1/feat, but they still don't have anywhere near the selection of any other class. Any they can only trade powers at 6th, 11th, and 16th levels so whatever invocations they pick, they're probably staying with for along time.

Lots of planning involved in the creation of a warlock, and for me, planning is almost as fun as playing. I've got easily a half dozen characters made up that will never see use and most of the ones I do play with have alternate "What If" versions when I couldn't decide about feat or spell selection.

...

< /end_tangent>

I'm pleased that the choice is entertaining.

Update

As I posted, Work and RL has pulled me away from the inn for an indefinate amount of time. HOwever ,this game is the one thing I'm keeping up.

AS such the update's more than half done, I just need DM to respond to a PM I sent her about Elendil's intended actions as "Run to the keep" didn't give me alot to work with so I'm giving her time to give a little more imput. I must say the melee looks something like a medieval royal rumble when I placed everyone out on the battlemat for combat purposes lol.

EDIT: Just pray Brownyn doesn't suddenly have a taste for combat and fireball again...

.

I will have an update done by today, if update goes up before then, then xaris will hack and slash anything that looks like a leader or anything that looks the most dangerous. He'll try for one on one combat with a commander if he can.
