Introducing ...

Posting Initiative

The arena will be set the way you see it when you post. If someone posts before you then there actions will be a part of the arena's "current position" So basically it will be posting initiative. I thought of doing it other ways .. but this will be the easiest way and will avoid any conflict of two people wanting to do different things. It also gives you the option of waiting to see what someone else might do before you post .. like a hold action.

Anyone foresee any problems with this method?

IMOHO

I like it. If you're on dial-up (like me), you sometimes can't get your post in fast enough and someone else's appears before yours does. This gives the opportunity to delete and/or edit the post to amend actions if you don't get in quick enough and someone "upstages" you ...

IMOHO...

I want to rub your shiny head deva for good luck before battle.. would you mind?

Oh.. oops. posting initiative.. that seems the most viable option. Works for me!

oh

I second Wyrmsting's point, it was mine but due to slow connection I was unable to get it up quick enough so deleted it.

I look forward to killing him in the arena all the same.

second

I gave him his second.

Can a larger character with a high enough strength pick up a smaller character with a grapple check and try to drown him in the pool?

Pinning

If you grapple them in the 5 foot deep section and then do a second check the next round you would succeed in pinning them and I would assume they would start to drown (based on con and rules for drowning) Does this make sense to everyone else. I would also say that a small character could also pin a larger character .. it's just more difficult .. but still possible

Agrees with TRSG

I favor picking up the small ones by the ankles and using them to bash the bigger ones. Hurt two with one action (well, actually more than one "action", but you get my drift...)

Look out, Cade! I'm comin' for ya! I'm comin' for ya!

You

you get my drift utan, I want to dangle them by their ankles and use them to clobber their own team.

Possible Posting Adjustment

Do you think it would be helpful to have everyone put their team name in their prompts along with their name .. or would that not help. I thought it might be easier to not have to look up teams all the time. Posts would look like

Devalero > Beholder > Etc

What do you guys think?

Great Idea, but...

Great Idea, Dev...

But, I'm a bit confused. The leaderboard indicates Laurelestra is on Basilisk, but in the arena she posted as Hydra.

I want to make sure I have the right info before I post.

Laurelestra and her team

Actually, Laurelestra is on Team Kraken.

Her teammates are TheRealStGeorge and Reralae.

She put Team Hydra in her posts, but did get her teammates right (she cast the spells on the right people and moved into the same position and her team)

Hey TRSG, you said you moved to O10, and then that you whisper to your cleric, who is in 020, that's really far away, and you are in the water...
