Replied to Stryke by PM. I'm not just ignoring him, honest...

Basically, we’ve got a couple of options for this week’s game:

1. We rule that you all (somehow) made it out of Thalgrim’s stronghold alive.

The assumption here will be that you fled at the next possible opportunity and probably evaded a few orcish warbands on the way back. As Caer Hwarnsvalon isn’t under any immediate threat, you’ll be free to escort the caravan back south to Bridhvale and we can pick things up from there (unless there’s anything else you’d like to do in the mountains first).

Here’s the small print:

- As things stand, your characters don’t actually know whether Thalgrim’s dead or not. He may very well be, after all surely no one could take that much punishment and survive (he was at -14 at the end of the adventure). But you don’t *know* for sure.
- As things stand, your horses are currently loose in the woods. It seems unlikely that you’d have the time to mount a search for them on the way out. The exception here will be anyone who didn’t actually tell me they were bringing their horse along in the first place (Jozan1 and Stryke).
- The chest’s currently lodged in a tree in the woods. Again, it seems unlikely that you’d have the space to retrieve it on the way out.

2. Alternatively, if any of these points are particularly important to you we can just pick things up from where we left off last Friday. I’ve still got your current status saved on my computer somewhere.

(And if anyone particularly cares…)

Pretty sure that last week's game was my worst one yet. Basically, I screwed up at the planning stage and was too tired on the night to improvise properly.

The original plan was that if you decided to rest somewhere near the mountain without a very sound plan then Thalgrim’s wolves would try to hound you back through the mountains. I had a few encounters worked out, which we should hopefully get the chance to use again at some point. Then I realised that this would be the opening game for at least one new player and chickened out. What you got was a couple of planned encounters and a couple more which were pretty much off the top of my head. The next game should be better or I’m hanging up my DMing badge.

In all honesty

I figured this weeks game was cencelled due to exams. I didn't even plan for this one. Everyone seemed preoccupied with one thing or another, so I spaced it. If everyone else will be there, I'll cance some of my other recreational stuff to participate, but if not, there's always next week.

Works for me

We'll leave it another week and pick things up from there.

Clears up my afternoon a bit, anyway.

Ready to play but can delay

While DM and Brianna are free to play, if you cancel that is fine too There are a few things I can take care of with the extra time.

Since it seems the other players can't though no reason to haold a game for two

At this point…

It’s probably going to be easiest to just pick everything up again next Friday.

Same question as before, though: what the heck are you all doing next? Sticking around in the mountains or heading back south with the caravan?

The sooner you let me know, the sooner I can start writing up the next adventure.

Valendara

I will go find my horse recover the box go somewhere safe heal up. but I am not through with the orc king until his body in burned to ashes and/or destroyed in some wan and I know it. Now my horse is an elven steed and I will whistle for her to see if she returns. WE would be better off if we tried to find our horses and get away from here far enough to be safe to recover. In fact a few days might let things die down before going back in. The Shaman with crawling around and finding it head and with those little wiggling creatures--well that was just too bizarre to thing of and the king may be likewise affected.

Question: At what level can I make scrolls? I need to arm myself with a backup of spells.

Okay, just a reminder for this Friday’s game…

We’ll be running again at 9 PM GMT (conversion to other time zones listed in the first post of this thread).

When we wrapped up the last session you were in battle with four werewolves (two of which were injured already). Thalgrim was down and bleeding. And from the noise down the corridor to your left, reinforcements are probably on the way.

According to my notes, this is your current party status. May the dice gods have mercy on your souls.

Anduin: 30/30, Arys: 6/40, Emmerus: 35/45, Isilifeline: 33/40, Iskandel: 6/40, Joshua: -4/20 [stabilised], Thordalf: -3/27 [dying], Valendara:14/22, Vanima: 22/32

Scrolls

To create wizard scrolls you need to be at least a 9th level Mage.

To create priest scrolls you need to be at least a 7th level Cleric.

There isn't any experience cost, but you'd need to either gather or buy various magical components to create them first. Basically, when the time comes then just let me know what kind of scroll you're making and I'll give you a shopping list.

We'll be running this evening at 9 again.

If anyone else can't make it or if a later time would work better for you then just let me know.

Looking forward to tonight's game.
