I have a question for Consortium,

Which anniversary of your 29th b'day are we celebrating? I'd bet more than 29 of 'em.

Seriously, I'm with Darque and Trip. Never playing this campaign, I want to find it all new and exciting. If my character gets killed along the way then so be it. Part of playing the game.

29+29+x

Thank goodness I'm an elf.

And I appreciate what Trip is doing here for us, and am enjoying this greatly. A salute and a thanks to you all.

Never played

I've never played this one either. So if I go "whoa...something smells funny...don't go running off alone into that dark alley!" please don't get mad at me if there really is a trap over there. Chances are, I just got lucky, and even a broken clock is right twice a day

Time of Day

Question: What time of day is it in the adventure? From the sounds of it, it is daytime and not nighttime. But whether early morning, noon, or dusk, I'm not sure.

Time of Day

It is early morning. It was nightfall when you first saw the town and decided to make camp and come in in the early morning.

Group Action

Posting

Feel free to post in game however and whenever you want as long as it is relevent. If you are not currently doing anything, you can post what your character is doing, or watching for or whatever you like, sure thing.

All I meant in prior posts is try not to post 10 tiny posts about what your character is doing, instead of 1 lengthy post. Then let others post for a bit so we can get the gel going back and forth rather than 1 person posting a ton ya know?

Group 1 only

I guess those of us in group 2 and 3 are just twiddling our thumbs while we wait for group 1 to come back.

Dum Dee Dum...

Anybody NOT interested in twiddling thumbs?

Deathstalker is restless, and doesn't believe there will be any significant leads to be found waiting at the edge of town.

What to do

I think I am gonna have Kyuss wait to see what happens in the house. Maybe some of the other guys from group 2 are interested in a little exercise themselves.

To enter the house?

I guess this is for Fandil, Gunther, and Sentinel. I think we enter the house. If we want to talk, we need to talk. As for the offered food - that I am hesitant about. I suspect I would refuse the food - and only pretend to drink the liquid. Then again, if they have the INTENT to poison us, I would hope Gunther could warn us of that - keep an aura out for us would you?

The 4 of us need to decide this one on our own. I'd be waiting for gunther's lead, but if he turns away - I'd encourage him towards the house.

And finally, I have never played this adventure. It is all new to me. I have no doubt that I shall walk into all of the traps - such as this one I'm now intent upon walking into...

Group 1 We Should Enter the House

I am for entering the house and having some tea and cheese!

Gives us an opportunity to ask our questions!

Also gives us an opportunity to spring a trap!

We already know there are 2 inns in town and we can glean some more information before we press on!

It is now about 8am Friday morning for me and I will not be able to do a writeup for An Evil in Orlane until late tonight after I get back home!

Usually in the movies there is someone or a family that gives the hero(s) some valuable information at the risk of their lives!

I am gambling that this is the situation here in the house!

Group #1 Nomad Consortium and SoulTaker

Feel free to speak up with your suggestions and comments!

From my understanding of Trip's rules we are the only ones who are allowed to make decisions about what to do here!

We are on our own!

I think basically we go in and be cordial and post for Trip on the An Evil in Orlane thread what we are doing and the questions we are trying to discreetly ask the farmer and his family!

Remember at the end of your role play when you wish to describe what you want to do for interaction for Trip to work with is to type in message to get the italics!

Example of what I am saying:

Gunther asks which inn is the best in town and which merchants or farmers can give the best price for their products. He also mentions that some of his companions are looking for land to purchase to settle down and raise families at sometime in the future. We have heard rumors that some of the lands in the area may be available because the farms have been abandoned. Heard some wild tales about people disappearing and then reappearing but some never being seen again. We just figure those are just rumors being spread by some people who want to buy up the land for themselves. Is there any property available for sale and who do we go talk to about a fair price?

That should get the italics!

What I am figuring is that we sort through all the questions that were posted earlier by everyone in the party before we separated and went to the house!

Then each of us can freely incorporate those previous questions in our italics messages for Trip to work with in his next posting!

At this point the four(4)of us are the only ones who can discuss among ourselves what to do!

***** Sentinel and Soultaker may have an advantage of gaining the trust of the children being a Halfling and a Gnome equipped with sleight of hand and parlor tricks to captivate the trust of the children and with their antics may be able to get some information from the children while Nomad and I are talking with the farmer and his wife Sarah, but of course both of you can also offer questions to the farmer and his wife as you freely choose!

Hey Trip First Timer Here

Hey Trip

This is my first time with the D&D gaming experience!

Might have read a few of the comics years ago!

Do not have any specific information about this particular module except for the hints you have dropped along the way!

This is proving to be more fun than I first expected when I signed on for the adventure!

I am looking forward to reading and watching the other groups during the adventure and then role playing as though Gunter does not know what is going on!

Although I do not know this module or any of the other modules for that matter, I will make some role playing hunches based on my background as a reader of books, watcher of movies and writer of some tales of my own!
