Paladin Holy Symbol

For the record Gunther's Paladin Holy Symbol is a Silver Shield with a Gold Crown set in the middle!

Attention Trip

Hey Trip

I edited my Enter the House post in An Evil in Orlane thread by adding some more questions!

Thanks!

Sentinel says to Gunther

Hey, big holy guy! Where'd you get all those dents in your shield? Oh? Silver? Well, I've heard it is pretty soft and malleable. I like the shiny yellow stuff in the middle.

Maybe Tonight

Hey Guys

Maybe tonight I will get a write up to keep things rolling!

Otherwise I will have to do it early in the morning before I go to the office!

Have hockey league to report on tonight and will be home late!

Expect a Post Tonight

I have a plan developing since I first read Trip's update in An Evil in Orlane so I will make sure I post Gunther and the gang returning to the group and sharing what has transpired so the rest of you can jump aboard with your posting messages!

I already have a plan of action for Gunther to proceed with but obviously Gunther has to return to the group and share the information before I can post what he plans to do in this Q&A thread message!

Providing information is posted in An Evil in Orlane

Fortunately I had some down time this afternoon and was able to get this written and posted before leaving for the hockey league games!

Basically there are 2 inns to choose from for lodging, there is a village store in case a group wants to go there and ask questions and Gunther is on his way to pay a call on the mayor [along with anyone else who chooses to go with him!]

Since the entire group is gathered together [except for DeathStalker!] as Gunther begins to leave he suggests some of the party need to go find DeathStalker before he gets himself in trouble!

I will check back later tonight for any posts, but now I must go!

Small Sentinel

suggests that maybe we split into to groups and try the separatele inns

it will provide double the info, and the two groups are large enough to provide decent protection

we could set a meeting time to get back together

Maybe jumping the gun

But I believe the temple might be the best place for getting any information, positive or negative.

If it's a place of good priests then we might get their thoughts on what is happening here, and if they are bad priests we might be fighting soon.

The inn would be a secondary concern since it seems we're in the morning time and securing rooms this early might seem a little 'off.'

Not Bad Ideas

Wayne is probably correct about securing rooms in the inns. Pretty sure there is not going to be a rush on the rooms since everyone keeps leaving town, not entering it.

Brandon is right too about going to the temple. Perhaps we can get some information there, and if Hammer and his group have come back to us to share what insight they have gained, perhaps even a visit to the mayor.

I think we can split up into our groups for these little jobs, once we get the straggler.

Which brings me to my next question, did we hear the woman scream across town where Deathstalker is keeping his inconspicuous low-profile?

If we did, that is probably going to be our next stop, regardless of what we do afterwards.

Meet up with Deathstalker

What time is it when the first group returns?

If it is still early before 5 pm, I say we..

...all go and meet up with Deathstalker and then go to the temple!

If it's later then I say we spit up in groups and get rooms.

What Temple?

The farmer did not say anything about a temple, only that there are 2 inns and the village store!

He mentioned they worship the goddess of Agriculture but did not specifically answer my question regarding a temple!

Shrill voice

According to the way Trip worded the post when she grabbed her son she yells out, "KILLIAN!!" In a shrill voice, likely to be heard for miles which I figure would carry to wherever we are gathered now!

So I would say Yes we hear the woman scream!

We could put a spin on it and think we hear a woman cry "Killing!" at the end of Gunther's discussion and after he says "and it might be a good idea for some of you to go find DeathStalker before he gets himself in trouble!"

Temple

The dominating structure that the party saw upon approaching the town was assumed to be a temple. Whether or not it actually is remains to be seen.

I have my own thoughts, but can't share them at this time.

Suggestions

I am making the following suggestions for our party to consider before Gunther leaves the gathered adventurers [minus DeathStalker!] to go to the mayor's house on the South side of the Lake which is building #10 on our maps!

Some should consider going to the local village shop for supplies and possibly get some info from the local storekeeper and any customers.

Perhaps some should bunk down at The Golden Grain Inn and the others at the Slumbering Serpent Inn to possibly gather some info from the proprieters and any helpers or patrons at the inns.

Obviously a couple people need to go check on DeathStalker [see Shrill voice posting!]

My plan is for Gunther to go see Mayor Ormond and get some specific information with my map as to which buildings on the map are where people disappeared or left homes or stores abandoned for no apparent reason!

Mayor Ormond is an elected official and he of all people should know who exactly is missing and where they are missing from!

Also want Mayor Ormond to tell Gunther what the building #21 is over in the NorthEast corner of the map!

I think this information is imperative to learn before nightfall and to get back to one of the inns where we agree to have Gunther go to roundezvous with other members of the party!

Seems to me a night at the inn should develop into something more than just a place to get out of the rain to get some sleep!

A good place for a sneaky attack or a mysterious message to be delivered that gets things going including the inevitable fight against some evil thing(s)!

IMHO if we investigate these areas with groups of everyone in the party then every player gets involved and does not feel left out of the action while waiting on some other group to arrive with a report!

For the record I am perfectly content to continue travelling with Oriel, Sentinel and Fandil, but I am giving them the opportunity to choose to either go with Gunther or to go somewhere else with other characters in the party if they would rather!

Plus allowing for anyone else who wants to go with Gunther to meet Mayor Ormond to do so!
