Ok here we go.

Ok not as bad as I thought. 2 out for sure, Elkin the cleric and Doogan the Fighter.

One I am not positive on yet and that is Aelbric the Bard.

Katai, you are the odd man out. All 3 in your group aren't here. I am going to put you in with Group 1 - Gunther, Sentinal, Fandil and Oriel

To ease the pain of posting multiple stuff, I am going to have you caught up with group 1 Deathstalker since they passed you by. It just makes it that much easier for me to post. You can say if you need to that you caught up to the group as they rounded the corner towards the mayor's house. Having multiple people at different spots at different times especially is tough to do. 2 groups should be fine though. So we have:

Group 1: Gunther, Sentinal, Fandil, Oriel, Deathstalker
Currently at the Mayor's House

Group 2: Kyuss, Haiden, Stings, Valerus, Severous
Currently at the Inn

Post away..

BTW..

This will eventually turn into a dungeon crawl. That was what I loved about this adventure, it has a little of everything.

Back underway

First, Consortium, that internet comment made me laugh out loud. Sometimes my wife really wonders about me...

I am not sure if I am speaking for Group 1 or not. I am happy to do so and will post accordingly before long if not contradicted. I am, however, more thanhappy to leave the charming and charismatic Gunther as spokesperson for the group. Just let me know what to do/not to do.

As for questions, I posted ideas earlier. More needed. I suggest we post multiple questions and likely answers all together so that Trip can respond to multiple questions at once. Hammer, I believe, made the same suggestion.

So, speak up so that either Oriel or Gunther can get your suggestions in print. I am anticipating honesty from the group in our answers based on previous comments.

Group 2

I'm still good with Darque being a main spokesperson for our group.

As it goes, I think we can hypothesize from previous conversations the first group was heading to the mayors residence and should start that way post-haste.

Lets get this figured out so we can start the crawling.

Group 1 ... I just woke up ...

..... and I have to get ready to go to the office now!

Things to consider asking are to get out our maps and ask Mayor Ormond which buildings are the ones where people have disappeared and ask about if there are any caves or anything else not shown on the map we need to know?

Also take a look at the map off to the right of the mayor's house at the lake and you will see [if memory serves me well this morning!] a solid black line and a circular line!

Was going to ask Mayor Ormond about those markings and if there is a boat available to carry us over to that circular marking which I figured was probably an island where possibly there was an opening to what will become a dungeon crawl as Trip alluded to!

Was still thinking about burning a round to discern Evil Intent which would give Oriel or anyone else the opportunity to ask some questions because Gunther has to remain silent to concentrate his focus with his holy symbol ... so please speak up guys because it will be another 12 hours before I can get home and begin writing a post for An Evil in Orlane!

Sentinel The Small brainstorms

Hey, thanks for the comment about the "backpack internet" causing you to chuckle. (We try!) The comment about your questioning wife ......... ours has for 37 years (in July) always questioned our intellect (WT) as it relates to gaming. (and probably a whole lot more) Questioning is ok, but when she wacks us up the side of the head with her warhammer, or pokes us in the gonads with her epee, we either perk up and listen or RUN.

Having spoken to our friend the ugly gnome (in case he does not post himself at the moment) we agree:

Gunther - use the discern evil

Oriel, talk for us.

The little guys and presumably the big guy (Deathstalker) will listen, be alert for any uncertainties, and add to the beautiful ambience of the moment.

Some additional thoughts at questions :
... Our group has mixed companionship (races, sizes, appearances, etc) and how will the good people of this city act about that? Discriminate?
... In this lovely village, how did the Mayor "earn" his job, and, more importantly, how did he get so rich? We want to follow in his footsteps!
... What would the mayor recommend that we (the adventurers, some of whom might like to settle down) do to "get rich", "find property", "help out with the mysterious going-ons", etc.
... What is the "real danger" in this place?
... Are the temple-dwellers holy, or evil?

Darn! (Sentinel just looked in his backpack and saw that his internet weapon is gone and he is sure that Doogan absconded it as he exited this adventure!)

Ha Ha Haaaa ...

..... at the end of the day after editing articles/photos and captions and laying out pages Consortium has brought a refreshing light moment once again in an intense atmosphere!

Gunther will post in a few hours his actions on the Discerning Evil Intent so hopefully the others will jump right in with their posts!

Catching back up

Will catch back up on my posting tomorrow (4/10). I know that it sounds weird, but the most free time that I have to make posts and write TOGS spotlights is at work

Glad so many are staying on too.

I noticed...

1. Trip you didn't list Katai in group 1 but I assume he is there.
2. We are really lacking in the healing arts now with the cleric gone.

Group 2

I think we should check out the strange hermit guy then make our way over to the Temple.

the healing issue

that's going to become a problem. anybody have herbalism as a prof.? if so we should start looking for herbs and such and premake bandages, that will help in a pinch. if the temple is friendly we might want to get some form of holy water as well.

Group #1 Gunther and his map ...

..... is now posted at An Evil in Orlane and you will quickly discover that Gunther is initially silent for this round to focus his Discerning Evil Intent ability.

Also posted subsequent reactions and the questions Gunther would ask with his map as a reference!

I have purposely narrowed my questions to allow plenty of room for everyone to interact with Mayor Ormond as I believe that Gunther is now in character to slowly blend into the background and allow others to exercise their special talents and abilities for the furtherance of the adventure with their participation!

So whatever you guys decide to do needs to be posted at An Evil in Orlane in a role play by your character to give Trip plenty of ammunition to post his follow up!

map comments

I will post part two of the discussion shortly. First, a couple of comments about question son the map.

Hammer - you were wondering about the line in the river between buildings 10 and 20 - I am 99% certain that is a current marker. Like at the bottom of the map in the river, it is an arrow shaped line indicating the direction of the current. That still leaves an island just up stream of that line.

I am a bit confused by the thicker dark, almost parallel lines that run south of the temple. (Building 21) That isn't what other roads look like. Is it another stream? But there are trees "in it" on the road to the temple. There is some weird shaped thing in the middle of it at the top of the map - just North of building 22. Should I know what that "path" is or what the thing that looks like a lot of lined up rocks is?
Trip - can you clarify this or not?

Also, I am assuming that if Gunther is taking time to discern evil - that it will be at least a little obvious to the rest of us who know what he does. If he stops concentrating quite so hard and rejoins the discussion in an unconcerned manner, Oriel would interpret that as a hint about what he found (or more accurately, did not find) in his examination.

Vineyard?

Ok, I could see that as a vineyard. The oddly shaped thing at the top of the map. I'm still not sure if we just have crossing roads, however for the lines crossing the map up the "vineyard."

Map

Katai, yes you are with group 1.

Yes that is a vineyard. Also the two verticle dark lines are Contour lines, you can see the distances on the right of the lines if you follow. So the temple is on top of a 20' slope the first line is 10', second line is 20'. So it is about 20' higher than the rest of the town.
