It was a possibility to me; when does Tersoal disappear? Before or after the identification? And is the sword lost as well?

So, trust the d20 and I rolled.
1-5 would have been no identification, lose sword
6-10 would have been no identification, keep sword
11-15 would have been identification, lose sword
16-20 would have been identification, keep sword

I got 13, and so there you go...

But... if there's a chance to lose things, there's likewise a chance to recover things...

Glad I put his mageiness to good use before he got sucked into a crack in the universe.

I did notice that the wicked witch of the west or east or at least the sister Scythe bearer made an appearance, but the way I read the post I thought my character was elsewhere shopping for supplies!

That was a beautiful great monologue with my NPC. Don't worry, there will be some words for you fellow PC's once she warms up to you guys- or else the NPC's all vanish somehow.

It just so happens that I'm not overly confident in our NPCs surviving an encounter with the Linsempti, or at least not all of them. One, or even two might take heavy damage, or actually get run through, and since I have the most NPCs just bumbling along at my whim, I figure I'm going to be the first to loose one.
(Come to think of it, Mitsuru, Akihiko, that Sylph, and Xira, who could be called Hammer's NPC [in a quasi-logical sort of way] - does anyone else even have NPCs here? Deunan doesn't count.)

Nope... at least as far as you can tell; Mitsuru, Akihiko, Sen, and Xira are all independent. If you want to be sure, just ask Xira why she's there

Hammer's truly the only one who hasn't had the opportunity to make an npc ally; everyone else has had that opportunity. Who knows? Perhaps a couple will show up in peculiar situations...

Your NPC soldiers, Sibelius, actually do have a reasonable chance for survival considering they are NPC's, as they are each at level 8, not too far behind you.
