Scrolls...

You could probably bug one of the High Wizards about scrolls, after bugging one of the guards stationed at the entrance to the hall about the whereabouts of them.

As for healing areas, that's actually near the base of the clock tower, in a small chapel. It's just a small place, not really designed for large gatherings or anything, but for some reason, healing magic seems to be amplified there...

Also, Kaelyn brought up another type of item that is available

Ammunition: Any form of ammunition can be imbued with magical 1 time bonuses of 1d6 (fire, ice, electric or acid damage) Up to a maximum of 30 projectiles a player. (it should be noted these do not make the projectile count as magical for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction, though the elemental magic applied would effect creatures with said reduction minus resistances etc.)

Calculated item prices regarding teleportation:

Scroll of teleport (CL 9): 1125gp
Wand of teleport (CL 9, 50 charges): 33750gp
Wand of teleport (CL 9, 1/day): 6750gp
Wand of teleport (CL 9, 2/day): 13500gp

Of these, only 1 wand of teleport (CL 9, 1/day) and 7 scrolls of teleport (CL 9) are available

You can try to haggle the prices too if you wish

concerning Tersoal

I have to say Wyrmsting, that for some reason, of which reason knows nothing, I imagine Ters as a flamboyantly dressed dwarf with a very large, fancy hat. I will do my best to dispel that image for obvious reasons as I replace it with the actual appearance of the mage.

Ah, well ...

The prices for all would be more than a little out of his current range. He is carrying all he owns with him and would have to trade as well as barter. That means giving up something rescued by his own great (and painful) effort, so for now that's out.

Ters has Teleport in his spell book, and has one scroll already, to that will have to suffice for the nonce.

As to projectile weapons, a suggestion:

The DMG allows for projectile weapons that can imbue each and every (non-magical) missile/projectile used by them with the same elemental property (or properties) described above, either as a +0 magical weapon with the special ability (at 2000 gp) , or as a +1 weapon with the special ability (at 8000 gp). Slings, bows, crossbows, or even thrown weapons like axes, javelins, and darts can be so imbued.

Would these be available? (or allowed in this game?)

I don't know what you're referring to

If you're referring to the fact that ranged weapons bestow their enhancements upon the ammunition used by them, well, that's standard. You cannot have a ranged weapon that has +0 enhancement but some ability; that rule is also standard.

Please clarify; what you currently have written does not make sense to me at the moment.

Plus -- 0 weapons reference ...

... or what I could remember from it, has been PM's to you.

I have used them quite often in my games with no complaints (once they got used to them). Still looking for the original reference sent to me by WoC ...

[ edit ]
Thinking about it now, the question was not whether or not they exist, but whether or not you would allow them. I can live with your original answer equaling "no" ...

DMG guide

as far as memory serves, and I'll reference it to make sure, but it specifically states any magical ability bonus (such as frost shock or flaming)melee or ranged can only be on an already enchanted weapon of at least +1. I had this conversation with Jozan recently as well, as he thought similarly that nonmagical weapons/armor could carry just the enchantments and ability's listed in the DMG.

Actually ...

I sent a PM to Kaelyn/Reralae apologizing for my (corrected) error. WoC did finally address the issue and Kaelyn is correct. The reference is in the DMG, page 286, Olumn 1, paragraph 3 ...

Something I'm not sure I understand ...

Sibelius Eos Owm is playing two characters?

And Kaelyn is playing three characters (or two and an artifact)?

Why/how is not the question. I just want to make sure I see/interpret/understand it correctly.

Multiple characters

If you take a look back at some of the previous posts, you'll see that Kaelyn controls two and Sibelious I believe has a couple of NPCs tagging along that he doesn't really control, but fit with his character's storyline.

well the short answer is yes.

My Main character has Massive leadership skills.. and the feat lol. So he could have a whole host of lower level followers but that would just be too complicated and likely an early death for most of them. So I simply have my granted cohort Deunan travelling with me. Caduceus is a sentient staff of healing to add a little bit of flair, perhaps comic relief at times to the game, but in and of itself isn't an active 'character'.

I was thinking...

It being almost 4am and I'm wide awake... that if we are to truely compliment each other to the fullest effects, it might be wise for the spellcasters, (Hammer, Tersoal and myself so far as I can tell) to leave mention of our daily allotment of spells, that we can change them and what not to beeter suit the tasks ahead-keeping in mind we don't know what they yet shall be.

As a saintly Mystic theurge I probably outnumber the spell compliments of both the pure cleric and the wizard at the moment.. (The trade off being I won't level for 2 of your levels (I need 13th level exp to hit level 11)

I expect to cover the discussion of swapping spells or what not in an in game manner as well, just thought it might be a good idea to leave our respective spell lists and what not here for each other to peruse and make note of.

Thoughts?

Regarding Yin

Yin Chang is an npc, however, in this situation since Sibelius' character is shy (part of her character), I let Sibelius take temporary control RP-wise of Yin so that it wouldn't put Willow on the spot, but at the same time it wouldn't inconvenience the party.

Speaking of npcs... I suppose I'll have to come up with a list of the ones that are there. Well, I will when people are past introductions and are actually looking around the citadel/armoury.

Or, instead of a list, I could put up a large post regarding them if needed... there are certainly a few that will require in-game posts...

Well, I'll do that a bit later; PC-PC interactions come first
