Sorry I didn't get that little intro post done yesterday.
We table topped from 4pm to midnight yesterday and I didn't get to it.

We played Dresden Files using the FATE rules. A lot different for me from D&D so I'd spent most the day refreshing.

Gee more custom baddies, Bhuts?

Well seeing Ulthok is the the only real spell slinger here on our side it looks like time for razzle dazzle on the Black Robe and company. Air elementals??? A little tough to slice and dice them!

If Ulthok can contain the Black Robe the rest of the party can slice and dice the Bhuts.

I've got bit of reading to do yet too on how to handle the elementals.

My first thought is to block block the Black Robe and elementals with a wall of force to hold them out of the battle for a bit. Then the rest of our sword carriers can attack the Bhuts. Jessica and Cor won't have much trouble with just a few Bhuts. Like I said need to read a bit and check my spells.

Bhut's are not a DM made up creature. They are out of the Basic D&D Creature Catalog. We are talking the very, very first edition of D&D before there was AD&D. However they have been modified by me to better fit into 2nd Edition.

After the battle I'll scan the original page and post it in the Q/A.

Are Bhuts undead of some kind?

I might need some advice on combat or maybe even some 'orders' from the group leader. I know Cor is use to not having people listen to him but he might want to try out the new member and see how it works out.

To answer your question if Peri can learn spells from your spellbook I'd have to say no to that. I could not find anything on if she can learn spells not naturally having. Plus we already have modified her to be able to cast more spells then a normal Faerie Dragon.

So no new spell learning.

As for the Bhuts being Undead well ya never know, anything is possible.

They are undead, I looked them up. Well that's ASSUMING that the our dear DM hasn't done any major modifications to them.

Ok, so the attackes on the Black Robe are good. Breaking his concentration should cause the air elemenals to attack the Black Robe.

Two flame strikes should be distracting.

The conjured elemental must be controlled by the wizard--the spellcaster must concentrate on the elemental doing his commands--or it turns on the wizard and attacks. The elemental will not break off a combat to do so, but it will avoid creatures while seeking its conjurer. If the wizard is wounded or grappled, his concentration is broken.

Ok, well hopefully I will do alright in combat. This sort of thing is kind of new to me. We will see how it 'turns' out!
