The spellcaster's spells/magic can't harm the spellcaster who casted it, right? I mean, the magic comes from you. It's a part of you. So it shouldn't harm you. At least, that's how I see it. It might be different in Dungeons and Dragons.

It actually depends on the spell. For instance Mage casts Fireball in the same room as her/him then yeah its gonna hurt the mage also.
Mage or Priest casts a Flame Blade spell, a blade of flame appears of which the handle of said sword is also magical fire that comes out of the mage's hand, then no caster is not harmed.

Its wise to read the description of a spell before you cast it as there have been, more then one time,  where a party member has cast a spell not realizing it will hurt the party that has hurt it.

Be very aware of area of effect spells.  If there is not enough room for the spell to expand it can double back.  So a fireball that fills a 30ft radius in a 10 ft room is a good idea if full of bad things but horrible if we are in the room.

Not ignoting anyone..been a tough week. Mom (94) went into ER Monday for severe cough, thought it was going to be pneumonia.They said it was bronchitis   Wednesday took for a followup and she had panic issues, so I've not been in much of a story mood. I will catch up this weekend.

I'll have Ulthok answer and move the Peri thing forward. Will need to have Ulthok study and reset his spells. Same for Valene.

Do you play both of those characters are you just filling in for someone for Valene? I know that you've posted for both but... was just curious that's all 

Yes Ody pretty much runs her during the overall game. However I run her in combat. Its easier on me. Just like he npc's Peri and now Nimu npc's Frag. If they do something with the faery dragons I don't think is viable or I think the dragons would not do, then I can always post differently for them as the DM.

I have beenplaying Valene for a while. We wanted to keep her character in the game so instead of Tann running her as an NPC I told him I'd run her until we found someone willing to take over. Because Ulthok and Valene have had an intimate relationship we thought it would make sense. Recently one the ladies that played Valene decided to end the relationship. so Ulthok had a broken heartfor a while. Then she left the game things warmed up a little. I just need to my A** in gear and start posting. Eight years ago I was motivated and really kept up. Life has beat me down a bit, but I can't give up.   GAME ON!!!!!!!

I think someone needs to dispel magic or something on Lothor or he will be staring at the wall for the next 4-5 hours.  It is an interesting wall, and it does make for easy posts, but a little help would not be refused.  

Well Nimu beat me to releasing Lothor, but then I am the last to post.

I guess I need to get a wiggle on and post sooner.
