Question...

Doesn't the aura of a paladin wielding a holy avenger protect everyone in a 10' radius from hostile magic or something like that?

That's correct

Here is the exact wording.

A paladin using a holy sword projects a circle of power 10 feet in diameter when the sword is unsheathed and held. This power dispels hostile magic of a level up to the paladin's experience level.
Conall is LvL 13, the red beaked Brain Eaters are higher then that.......

I was hoping Cynil had moved farther then that. What kind of distance to creatures are we looking at?

huh....

Skye,

I have a suggestion as to your next actions....open that "pretty" mouth of yours and ROAR!!! If the Brain eaters are already scared of you that might make them flee faster. Just a thought...

LOL@ Flirt replying to Celeste

No darling its a Jim Croce song called Time in a Bottle..... You may not know it like us oldsters do

Celeste to answer your question below....
I was hoping Cynil had moved farther then that. What kind of distance to creatures are we looking at? From your postion at the edge of the chasm, directly behind your postion as stated on the first map, to where you are now was a full movement. Just as I judged where Conall ended up after killing the Brain Eater to where he is now was a ½ movement. The only reason he could not attack last round was that he did Lay on Hands to himself to heal taking up his full action for that round. Please remember my ‘maps’ are not to scale.

Boo Hoo........

Sure first kill me off and then break the illusion. Yeah, it's a song us 60's and 70's kids would know.

I thought it kind of fit the moment.

BTW, Tann you're the first to kill any of my characters. After years of careful play my record is sullied. I must go and mourn.

death is a part of life

Wow, first character who ever died on you? Death is a rather common occurance in this group. One good reason to keep on friendly terms with your cleric.

handlebar moustache for the win

I know and love that song well, Ody, and I'm not a child of the 60's or 70's! It was the perfect choice!

Death is a regular occurrence for this group?

Songs and such

I remember the catchy tunes of the fifties and sixties Bur wasn't much into them until later when they were "oldies" Don't let it fash you, Celeste, I am a forties gal and I didn't know it either. I kinda think it would be fun to think of song or even took titles to post-name events in the game. Like in the Q/A thread.
