The last war

The blue moon was hanging low tonight as the god of war marched his troops over to the land of the elves. He knew the elves were waiting but what he didn’t know was that the elves had set out one lone ranger and a little Halfling to gather a party that would in the end disable his army. If he had of known that the god of death’s life was on the line he probably would have chosen the stupid and clumsy barbarians and a few dragons to handle the elves.
******************************************************************************
King Soleraii sat and watched as the army of necromancers and their deadly leader the god of war made their march to the Elvin groves.
“Have our allies replied to our call for aid?” The young king asks an Elvin archer that had left his post as ordered when news came in that the lone ranger and the Halfling had finished their task in relying on the aid of their allies.
“All but one you majesty they are still trying to find the half celestials mixed with dragon’s blood.” The archer was quick to reply.
“Then may the goddess of nature be their guide.” was all the king could pray in the battle that seemed hopeless now that the only epic level person they had that could face a god had gone to do just that.
“It’s a shame that the ranger hadn’t trained an apprentice to help with the god of war.” the archer said.
“It truly is now get back at your post.”

Tus Lased sat in the remains of mithral hall and waited as one by one his friends started showing up.
“I have some grave news,” Tus tells the group of adventurers “As I’m sure you all noticed in your travels the gods of war and death have declared war on the Elvin nations and as soon as the elves are wiped off the face of Fayrun then there is nothing to stop them from taking over everyone’s homes that do not believe in them as a deity.”
Tus waits to see the response on the faces of his companions before continuing “ I don’t know about you but I have worked to hard with my deity to follow a god that doesn’t give a damn about my life. So for those of you that want to help me kill the god of death thus enabling the god of wars army please step forward."

Siri Starheart

It had been a long time since Siri had left the Ancient groves that she protected, mostly because she felt no need or desire to do so. When she had been much younger she had traveled the world leaning about the many different plants and animals in these new locations. She had learned of them seen the marvels of exotic locations. Then she went home, to walk in her own woods, talk with the animals and the great trees whose canopies stretched high over her head shading and sheltering all kings of animals. The summons had come to her and she considered it. A long ago friendship require at least some attention and she decided to find out why Tus Lased had summoned her.

There was only one way to find out. She would travel to the meeting place he wrote of.
“Shimmer! Tus has requested our presence and I intend to accept his invitation. With her mind made up there ere things she had to take care of before she could leave. I need to appoint an interim Druid to care for the Ancient Grove while I am gone. Will you pick up my bag of holding when you go get your things? Then we can be ready to go as soon as I am finished.”

Summoning an animal messenger she gave him a message for Larendil, the highest level druid that worked with her. She knew he would fulfill the position well.

Shimmer currently in the form of a small dragonette disappeared in a flash, almost literally. His tine scale more that snake skin than dragon scales-each one reflecting light in a prismatic rainbow of colors.

While she waits she resisted speculation on why Tus had sent this invitation. She would find out soon enough. When Shimmer returned she move into a glade and turn into a Gold Dragon. While Shimmer sifter to his true size. They made an impressive duo, and would not likely be challenged by most creatures. They arrive and the Mithril hall Siri shifter back to her true form and shimmer to his diminutive form and they enter. She found Tus and a few others waiting there. With a nod to them all she asks, “Why the summons?”

Tus waits to see the response on the faces of his companions before continuing “I don’t know about you but I have worked to hard with my deity to follow a god that doesn’t give a damn about my life. So for those of you those want to help me kill the god of death thus enabling the god of war's army please step forward."

“That cannot be allowed, It would upset the balance of nature.” she responded with a fierce conviction her voice carrying in the hall as she stepped forward. “You are planning to do something about it. That is why we are here isn’t it?”

Siri was like a golden avenging angel. Golden hair and skin, Aquamarine blue eyes like the sky of a fine day her feather wings mantled behind her. Her clothes were the only indication of her druidic nature. Dress in deep forest greens with embo=roidery she did herself of vines and leaves on the hems of her garments.
