Loaded Dice #67: Let's Get Out of Here!

About time: a new comic is up.

Happy New Year, everyone! Here's to a more stable, regular Loaded Dice schedule.

Thoughts, questions, comments... post 'em if you've got 'em!

And of course, if you enjoy Loaded Dice, *please* vote it up at reddit.

Thanks!

WooHoo!!!

Sooo good to see a new LD strip!

Loved it, of course! Steve's wickedly smug/ominous expressions at the "stop giving him ideas" comments were classic and, IMO, Annick's artwork is really starting to shine in this one... her best work on this strip, yet! Kudos!

pointing fingers

That finger pointing at the viewer in frame 3 is great. That is one of the hardest things to draw, in my opinion, and you nailed it!

Heh, you gotta give it to Amy in this one. I would of never thought of letting the fire naturally "thaw" the PC's in the room, I would of been to afraid of them just going straight to burning. Also, I feel sorry for the players, Steve is a relentless DM when it comes to causing misery!

well...

Actually, she's relying on past experience - anytime the Ice Haunt froze one of the other party members, he thawed within a few minutes on his own (as the magic wore off). She's betting that will hold true here, as well.

Luckily, it would appear that she was correct.

Smart cooperative players. Things that never happened when I played :-/
But it's so much fun trying to shoot each other in the legs to get the loot.

Thanks a lot for the compliments! I do think I'm getting better too, and am really glad you enjoyed the art.

I don't believe I've seen Amy so fetchingly depicted as she was in that fifth panel! Whoah!

(Edit: on further inspection, I meant to say ROWR!!)

The characterizations are coming along nicely, especially Brad in panel 2 and Jim and Rich in the last panel. Steve's extra-spiky hair just makes him look more manic than usual, heightens the tension in the strip.

yea

It's starting to look less like an imitation of Lyra's work and more of a new style. Keep it up!

Awesome!

Just got done reading this comic! This was aweswome with a capital A. I only played D&D a few times IRL but this reminded me so much of some of the game sessions.

I noticed that some of the art seemed to change and some artist were better than the others. They were all good though, far better than I could do so I cant complain.

Thanks for the entertainment and I hope to see more.

Hey, glad you like our stuff, Mysterion! The Boss' real life is hampering new updates, but as we say here at the Inn, real life comes first. Patience will be rewarded, young padawan--of that you can be sure!

Give Old Wizard a look-see, too. It's good stuff!

Oh! I would feel remiss if I did not take a moment and echo t_catt11's suggestion to vote the comic up at reddit. Making an account is free and takes but a minute or two.
