1. Ch'dau can simply kick the door open and "soak" whatever damage might come from it
2. We can use Garn as a battering ram and let his apoplectic butt bear the brunt

I did have one idea you haven't listed yet. Not sure how viable it is so this is just tossing it out there - burning the door down

With concentration, can't Gib tell how the trap is set off and what it is intended to do? Just curious. 

With close inspection, Gib can tell that the trap will likely activate upon the opening of the door.  The exact nature of the spell cannot be determined.

I'm all for starting fires!  Point of fact - old weathered oaken doors can be difficult to set ablaze.  I'm not sure that a torch will do it in a reasonable amount of time, and it's very likely to just char the door and go out (ever owned a fireplace?).

Cedric could probably warp the wood around the hinges to make it fall down... I think.

I trust that with the caliber of players we have, metagaming won't be an issue?  Ghoul + scream + furious Garn has to mean you guys operate under the assumption that both were taken (which is how everyone initially reacted).

And, yeah, Ch'dau had NO idea, his distrust of Davena and Garn aside. Anyhoo, no metagaming, here... although, you can expect Ch'dau to get in Garn's face for a second where that blamestorming bit is concerned.

I'm all for trying the warp wood thing. 

I think that Reralae was referring to seeing Kith's private story as a silver screen, since nobody else is privvy to that.
