Either way, I love drawing the backgrounds for the in game scenes. Every texture is hand done (the mosaic was a filter. Sue me!) and takes forever, but it's fun.

So this is going to be very rule set and not free form? Drat- I was hoping pkmn could get experience from practice and using skills, not just battles. >.<
And you probably are thinking about Magicarp. It learns tackle at about lv15, but even then it can't learn TM/HM moves until it evolves.

To be honest, I would tell Abra to teleport Saja and himself away from battle, and not bother with it. =P
And Abra can both learn and use TM moves- soooo I have no idea where you're coming from! lol
I don't plan on using my moves for combat anyways, but as I said, abra can still, say, pick up a small rock and play with it using telekineses without knowing any move- right? Like how a Bulbasaur could extend its vines to grab things without knowing vinewhip. (IE: More like the anime)
Oh, and Ensof will hate you Pikachu- haha. He's terrified of other Pokemon.

Perhaps- I'm thinking more RP terms, as an abra that can't use psychic abilities (moving small objects) seems kinda weird. Unless I can do that without the specific move (just not in combat)

That's why I like some free form- so you can use moves creatively. (IE: using vines to climb up to areas, or fire attacks to make small fires for camp)
