Subject: Ah there you are my pretties

Castien watched as the gorgeous woman made her way through the cargo bay. She moved with a purpose and seemed to hold herself much like royalty. To say he was awe struck was an understatement. His thoughts shifted from finding his tools to something a bit more playful. As she slipped through the door leading further into the ship, Castien swore she smiled at him. "Did she notice me? I wasn't staring that hard. Was I? No, must have just been a coincidence."

Castien continued to look for his tools. Perhaps there was a chance they were already moved to the engineering spaces. He was hoping not.

There was an announcement for the captain over the shipboard communication system. Soon, Castien heard footsteps above him and noticed the captain and two other men moving in the cat walks above. As he was looking up hehadn't stopped moving and tripped over some cargo crates. The crates read
Property of Castien Mithtail
Handle with Extreme Care

As smile grew across Castien's face as he pried open the top crate. "Now I feel a bit more comfortable. At least I have something to do for now." Then he started checking the crates to make sure everything was there and properly in order.

Castien was investigating a door at the forward bulkhead of the cargo bay. Despite his best efforts though he was unable to get it open. As he was about to move on to investigate more of the ship, an elf approached him. "Hey, I'm Lassvenha, the medic for the Solstice. I heard you saying you were the mechanic? Good to meet you, what's your name?"

"Nice to meet you Lassvenha. My given name is Catien Mithtail. Most people just call me Gears though. It's good to know who will be patching me up when I get in a scrape."

Castien stopped to think for a moment and as he did his hair turned to a pale blue color. "I'm trying to get to know the lady here. Seems she won't let me any further than this though. I'm gonna keep exploring the bay though. You're welcome to tag along."

Castien started walking away from the door toward another part of the bay. He was in honesty looking for his tools which should have arrived earlier in the week. He wanted to make sure they arrived and were still in good condition.

Castien sat in the seat of the tram with the few other passengers still remaining. Even sitting he made an imposing figure. He was wearing black leather pants with what looked to be built in armor. His boots were sturdy and almost looked military issue. He was wearing a simple black tank top which exposed his dark tan, muscled figure. A few tattoos could be seen on his arms. His gray eyes and silverish hair were a bit off setting. Slightly pointed ears could be seen peeking out of the shoulder lenght hair. Two large bags were on the floor below his seat and a long black armored trench coat was laying in the seat next to him.

He thought the tram driver was going to take them all to the middle of nowhere and try to murder them. Good thing that didn't happen. As he got off the tram and saw the ship for the first time he was amazed. He looked at it much like a teenager looked at a beautiful woman. He was her mechanic and technician and she would be his baby.

What got to him the most though was the fact that this ship wasn't even supposed to exist. He was pretty sure he had died and gone to heaven.

Castien walked across the gangplank and onto the ship. He figured that the crew would be gathering in the cargo bay. When he arrived all he saw were a few droids and shipyard workers moving things around. There were spots for three small shuttle craft but one was not present.

Castien sat down his bags near the doors to the bay and started to walk around looking for other crew members. "Hello! Ship's mechanic reporting for duty," no response, "I suppose I'll just have to wait here for now."

The guardian was sitting and listening to all that was going on around him. This seemed like a very big endeavor. He was also curious about the young warrior elf walking out. Who would take his place, or did anyone have to?

As the questions flooded through his head he heard a familiar voice blending with his thoughts. He looked toward the watcher as the voice grew more tangible in his mind.

The watcher had just grabbed the stone and was staring at it. The guardian nodded in confirmation before the watcher went back to writing in his book and the voice in his head faded.

Turning toward Lokis and the rest of the group. The guardian spoke up. "The Watcher has decided we will take up your journey. He is curious to know more about you Lokis."

Finishing off the last of his drink, he looked about the room to notice that even the staff seem to have left. "I for one agree with Dûrion, I need some rest. Could we continue this in the morning?"

The guardian spent the rest of the night surveying the room. On one occasion he went outside for some fresh air. While he was out there he noticed a female elf. A druid by the look of her, but he wasn't sure. Perhaps she was with the other two elves already in the inn.

When most of the patrons of the inn had gone there were but a few left. The trickster, the male druid, the elf warrior, the gnome, the watcher, and himself. There was also still the druid female outside. The staff was cleaning up and preparing to settle down for the night.

The gnome spoke up and some what introduced himself to the remaining few and revealed a bit of his story. Then he proceeded to call the remaining patrons over to him. The watcher sat writing in his tome. The others began to gather around. Delra was cleaning a table tha tthe guardian passed by on his way toward the gnome. He stopped and spoke to her a moment, giving her an invitation to join him in his room later. She smiled and he continued on toward the gnome with a slight buzz in his mind.

"I for one am curious to know more. I heard you mention your name to our trickster here, yet you fail to tell it to the rest of us. So I shall help you out, Lokis." The guardian spits the last words out with a bit of venom to his voice, but nothing threatening.

"I do not know the circumstances that brought everyone here, but it seems to be a bit of fate. Something I am becoming quite accustomed to as of late. I am here simply to look after my companion. My charge may have had the vision which brought us here. He may also know of the events to come in the near future and their outcome. However, I must inform you that he can interfere in no way. It would break the vows he has pledged to and sever his faith to the core. He may be willing to follow where ever your quest may lead, but only as an observer. I shall add my skills shall you need me, but know this my priority first and foremost is the protection of his life."

With that the guardian sat down at the table across from the gnome.

The guardian was at the bar, watching the room. A gnome walked into the inn, but he didn't get very far. It seemed there was some trouble and the gnome chased down a rat ending up at the table with the trickster. This was also where Delra was.

He was going to let it slide and see how things turned out, but a voice in his head urged him to look into things further. He made an excuse in his mind to get the tavern girl Delra, besides he could use another drink anyway.

Making his way around the room he arrived at the table and started speaking with Delra. Meanwhile, he was listening intently to the conversation between the gnome and the trickster. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a gem with an incredible shine. Delra had just skipped off and he knew he couldn't stick around for no reason. He scanned the room and found a spot to lean against the wall, with in listening distance, and a good vantage point of the whole room.

Moving over to the spot he had picked, he finished listening to the conversation, as Delra returned with his drink. She sat and talked to him for a bit as he tried hard to focus on the gnome's conversation. Delra was quite the distraction, but he had been trained to do just this sort of thing.

so I would love to post more but seeing as the DM has left the game and the INN in general the game cannot continue on unless someone else has access to the plot line. I was really interested in this one too.

As soon as he saw the watcher nod he got the attention of the serving girl, Delra. She quickly made her way over to him smiling the whole time. "I have an odd request and I hope you can fufill it. My friend has some very eccentric tastes. Could you fetch me a glass of Frostwine?"

"Sir, Frostwine is pretty rare and expensive and ..." The guardian had cut her off before she could say anymore.

"Delra, dear sweet girl, I will make it worth your while to fetch some Frostwine and deliver a glass to my bald friend over there with the book." He slipped several sivler coins into he soft hands.

Delra scurried off to the cellar and returned shortly with a wine bottle. She grabbed a glass, carefully poured the wine and delivered it to the man writing away in the book. She glanced at the guardian and gave him a wink, before returning to her other customers.

The guardian leaned against the bar licking his lips. The thoughts of the things he would do to that girl later pouring over in his mind.

Subject: The dark one revealed

As they entered the inn the smells of a tavern pervaded his senses. He was struck by the delicate aroma of desserts, and the hearty, smoked aroma of meat, the pungent smell of pipeweed, and the ever enticing smell of alcohol. Where the watcher liked wine, the guardian liked his quaff strong like a Dwarven mead. Something to knock you back and make you think before having another. The watcher made his way toward the innkeeper with the guardian following loosely behind. The guardians eyes flitted this way and that taking in the scene. He made quick examinations of every patron, and the room itself. He took particular note in the exits, mobility, the drunks, the armed patrons, and the women. As the watcher came up to the innkeeper he produced a few coins and handed them over without a word. The guardian spoke in his stead. "We will need two rooms, one for myself and one for my friend here. The money should cover his room and board for tonight, and I prefer to work for mine. I can provide security for the evening, of course with your permission. We are not sure of the length of our stay, but our arrangements will be known to you."

The innkeeper looked the dark clothed man over. He wasn't overly tall and didn't look overly muscled. His dark cloak hid most of his features. What the innkeeper could see though were the vast array of blades tucked into sheathes on his body. He was also sure there were many that he didn't see. This man seemed dark and deadly. It wasn't just his clothing or the weapons. It was his eyes. They were grey with flecks of green and had a depth he had never seen, even from the military veterans who would pass through. The innkeeper knew his establishment was safe this night. He nodded to the two men and handed each a key. As the other man walked up the stairs the dark clad man spoke again. "I'd like a flagon of your best dwarven mead and some of that pot roast I smell wafting in from the kitchen."

The innkeeper moved his way down the bar, getting the attention of one of his serving girls and started speaking to her. The dark clad man removed his cloak and laid it neatly on a nearby barstool, and began to stretch. His dark hair was tied into a ponytail and reavealed the pointed tips of his ears. Even under his armor you could now see his physique. He was lean but muscled. He had the look of someone who was quick, and nimble, but also had strength when it mattered. The serving girl walked by as the dark man was strecthing. He stopped and caught her staring at him. She offered a coy smile before quickly ducking into the kitchen.

The guardian was again scanning the room. Everything looked fine and he was sure this would be an easy night. He was kind of hoping for some action though. Of course he practiced while in the monestary, but it was nothing like the real thing. He felt he was losing his edge and it needed some honing. Another patron entered the inn with a defeated look on his face, and made his way to a table on the far side of the room. This man looked a bit shady. Perhaps a trickster or swindler. He made a note to keep an eye on this one throughout the night.

The serving girl arrived with his meal and drink and set them on the bar. She was good looking, well endowed and full of spirit. He immediately thought of ways to get her to his room. As his mind worked he produced a silver piece from seemingly nowhere and handed it to her. Her eyes lit up and she smiled graciously. She pocketed the coin and spoke with a sweet country accent. "I'm Delra. Let me know if you need anything at all. I've been told to take care of your needs tonight." With that she turned to take care of other customers.

He immediately thought of what exactly his needs were tonight. The guardian grabbed the flagon of mead and took a deep swig.

Subject: The guardian....

or Muscles as he has been refered too is no hulking behemoth. He is muscular but in a lean way. More like that of a gymnast or a runner. However his sour/suspicious demeanor is right on the mark. He opens up to only a few people (those usually women), is very protective, and doesn't play well with others. He is heavily armed and has more weapons than those you can see.

Overall he is not someone you want to meet in a dark alley, or really anywhere for that matter.

Hopefully, I will be getting the first post for him in this afternoon.
