Subject: So Ill just stand here and be murdered too?

"This is not the time to talk, we have to act now, otherwise we will all be killed. Besides, I am no murderur. I would never attack to kill someone, just immobilise them if they are becomeing more like a threat. But if you would prefer to handle this situation yourself, be my guest. We shall see if this situation sorts itself out." Lantaris said with traces of anger. Lantaris sheathed her daggers and drew up her hood, fadeing into the background. (not leaving)

Subject: Lantaris

As Crystal spoke, Lantaris resisted the urge rolled his eyes. She clearly had no idea that questions would not get answers now. Now was the time for action. It was time to use some more crude form of combat.
Using the pommels of his daggers instead of his hands, Lantaris Struck at the crease of Verkoths left forearm to get a pain movement reflex and the used his other dagger to go for the artery in his neck left side which, upon hitting would at least knock him down.
"You lied to me and that shall be the last mistake you make!!!"

"trator!" Lantaris shouted pointing both of his daggers at Verkoth "these are weapons of the League Entire! It seems you werent so careful though, were you, murderur?" gesturing to a smuge on one of Verkoths pouches. "You are a trator to me and for this you will pay!" with the last word he Sprinted into action and leaping towards Verkoth, attemting to make him drop Redge more than anything, attempting to get behind him and put a dagger in his back even.

Subject: So this is what it comes down to

Lantaris thought fast. This was an incredibly dangerous situation. Attack one and the other could slit their throats in thanks. Even worse, this could be an act to kill us all and they are working together.
But suddenly his protective insticts kicked in and his hands went for two previously concealed daggers. He needed insperation and fast, otherwise they would be soon be bathing blood. Keep them talking.
"Hold on a second. There is no need to kill one another. Let's start with a answer to Crystal's question. And then I'd like to know why you (Verkoth) were thought he betrayed us in the first place. Then SOMEONE is going to explain why this occured. And then if you (Verkoth) sent these troops, how come you were so confident he betrayed us. If you didn't, who did?"

Lantaris suddenly tensed, ready for a fight that was sure to break out any seccond. "Ok, well before we all kill one another, lets hear the facts, shall we?" said Lantaris, steping away from the both of them and pushing crystal and Takra away to a position with more distance between all of them.
He never took his eyes off the pair of them. This wont end well...

Subject: Lantaris Narath Male/Female?

Just so everyone is clear, Lantaris is Male. I appologise for using "she" at some points. I have generaly only had female charictors as most the others I play with choose Male charictors. I will try to make sure I use the appropriate pronoun in the future.

Lantaris watched as water rolled down the females face. He had never been in this sort of situation before. He saw Crystal get up and perform some sort of "ancent ritual" and the water stopped. After that Redge left and Lantaris said "I think I will try and get a bit of rest, you two should get some too. We will need it" He said and followed Redge through the door.

He bit back several nasty comments that poped to his mind such as that the "girl" was responcible for his suicide.
"My story? I ran from home at a early age and was trained by a group of mercinarys. Soon I was a resonably powerful hand to hand combatant and I started inventing my own techniques. I became a body guard and eventualy I joined the millitary."

He bared his teeth at the Crystal, finally getting his voice back in mere irritation.
“I would recommend, mage that you try to act a touch more professionally. It would seem that I am stuck with you for now but I will tell you now that despite my worship I hold no grudge against those who practice magic, much more upon those who judge. If you assume me to be barbaric, as you say, at least I do not fall to such prejudice. I merely believe that you may, one day, wish to step into the heat of a real battle, to spring the ambush rather than sit at any distance. But as we have all been chosen for this mission I would assume we are all capable. I will not let my beliefs get in the way of a mission. Try to act more professionally and we shall forget those few words.”
He turned to the elf “As for you, I do apologise for my bumping you. I am glad to meet you more formally. I am Lantaris Narath from the town of Ilourien. As your… friend, mentioned, I do indeed worship Gariael, but despite that I hold no grudge against your use of magic.” And continued noticing her uncertainty “I am sure that you are a capable mage, you have been called and as have I so I would have to assume a matching prowess.”
Turning to Rege “I would much prefer to sit in the quiet if possible but if, as it would seem, we have much to discuss and get to know each other better. In terms of drinks, I do not drink. Drinks alter the senses and people like me do not become dangerous by sipping.” He said with a quick glance at Crystal.

"I was more interested in more up to date information. My abbilitys are more suited to gurrila or scouting missions. There is little I can do without more detailed information." Lantaris said, streaching his back.
He started to consider the human Mage. She seemed to have a staff with a unusual symbol on it which he reccegnised as that of the green circle.
Interesting. He heard her refered to as some sort of ice Mage too. He had never fought a Mage before. He wondered how easy it would be. Smirking he lay back in his chair.

"I see, well my name is Lantaris. It seems that you need someone with some skill in perception. I would be most happy to accept this misson, but in return I would like some information concerning this seemingly escelating peaceful, at least for the moment, conflict." He sais.
He takes a seat and waits for someone else to discuss his terms.

Subject: Greetings stranger

Lantaris heard the female elf from before call out for a propper appology. Well, he thought, if you wanted a proper appology, maybe you could have let me finish appologising before you ran off with some stranger. Suddenly he hit somthing hard behind him as he turns.
"oww" he said as his back hit some hard metal armor.
"Steady on there, squire. You almost had yourself over then." said the stranger wearing the armor. Suddenly the bartender seemed much less welcoming. He suddenly saw a darkly robed figure come in and stop the any fights from breaking out. He studdied the stranger. He invited Lantaris to the salon allong with the female elf and the other sitting with her.
"um, hello. Thankyou but is there any reason why you singled me and, errr, these two out?" noding at the other two. "I do believe I have never met any of you before. Is there any perticular reason you wish to talk to me?"

"v-very w-we-well" replyed Lantaris.
He took another minute to studdy the tavern occupents, looking for any form of threat. Being a bodyguard did not make you too many friends.

After muttering a quick apology to the newcomer took a quick look around at the escape points, more out of habit than anything else. Taking another moment to look around he noticed that the newcomer who was now seated at a table a few feet away, elven, obviously, was rather pretty. He shook this from his mind. Those who use looks to divert your attention can be the most deadly. Lesson no 1. He scanned the room for any other tables that were free. He noticed a very large man with several weapons slung across his back. Lantaris wondered what was so inportant about him that he needed two such large weapons. Maybe I can learn something about why there are so many solders gathered here. He gulps slightly, not being so accustomed to diplomatic conversation. The only conversations he had ever had either was with his masters or with his fists, or both. No point standing here all day as he moved closer to the stranger.
"he-he-hello, errr nice day. Ummm a-are those s-seats taken?" he stuttered to the stranger
