Onward?

And so it was quiet again.

The horrible beast of the warp was defeated, and an eerie out of place silence once again returned to the deck.

Tazi and Ghustel gathered around the Tech Priest. Several rounds punctured the body of the mutant, killing it off - no it wasn't dead, only stunned. Smart thinking to finish it off.

But the job wasn't quite done, was it? Sure the tech-priest had diagnosed the problem, but he still had to file a report, do the requisitioning paperwork, and probably an hour or so of assembly to get the new security unit ready to operate.

The others also had a bit of clean up... and that mean dealing with Carrigan. Mkoll stood silently over the unconcious Arbeit... the deck's security, waiting for his team to finish up with the Tech-priest. Once all were clear they gathered and decided on the next task at hand. What do they tell their mistress? Do they place blame? Did they even know what happened? (If anyone has warp lore, psyniscience or any other applicable skill PM me, I don't think anyone does). What would they say? Did they miss something?

Everyone on deck, get to my office to report on your findings as soon as possible! We might have a problem... barked the ever curious voice of the Inquisitrix Captain over the loud speaker Arcturious had hacked only a few moments ago. Didn't she have any patience? You had only been dispatched a few minutes ago.

Wait, Everyone? Arcturious quickly detected (as does anyone with a Voxcaster or Auspects) that Carrigan had only issued the order to their deck. She wanted to talk to the six of them. Or at least there were SUPPOSED to be six of them. The guard would need a medic... Better not delay, we all know Carrie's temper is far from long.

(OOC: Sorry for the short post and long delay, but we have a few more things to wrap up here before we start the "real" game )

Snatching victory from the jaws of a mutant

Tazi shrugged after the Tech-Priest pushed past her, with barely a word spoken to acknowledge her presence. The hissing of his cogs and the jangling of his metallic implants proved to be fitting accompaniment to the rattle of her gun, as she fired it into the head of the unmoving mutant. The creature’s body shuddered involuntarily before finally falling limp – as if some higher power had suddenly thrown off a switch.

Tazi broke out into a broad smile. “Well, well…looks here as if I got the killing blow,” she quipped to Daggerfall. “Your ass is mine. Literally.”

Her moment of glory, however, was cut short by the sound of Carrigan’s voice over the speakers. As usual, she didn’t sound as if she was in the best of moods.

The Sister of Battle groaned. “Looks like we better move out. Let’s check the remaining cells to see if any more heretics are free, and then…”

Tazi stopped suddenly. After only taking a few steps around the narrow bend in the hallway, she spotted Mkoll standing over the body of a man clad in the uniform of the Adeptus Arbites.

“Is he alive?”

Another day another Summons LOL

With the short “firefight” over and everything once again as normal as it could be on an Inquisition black ship it came to Mkoll as no surprise to once again hear Carrigan’s voice over the PA.

Everyone on deck, get to my office to report on your findings as soon as possible! We might have a problem
With the intercom quiet Mkoll headed for the lift at an easy pace headed for the Inquisiters office. Tazi appearing around the narrow bend stopped as if surprised to see him walking away from the body of the guardsmen

“Is he alive?” The Sister of Battle asked

"yeah, but not by much" the Tanith scout replaid as he passed her still headed to the lift. Whatever Carrigan wanted them for it was better then doing nothing and hopefully would get him off this ship....

hmm

Daggerfall was enjoying the revels of his victory not only over the mutant, but the prize it entailed. He could see Tazi's feigned disappointment, but as she shot the mutant in the head and he shuddered involuntarily she proclaimed the killing blow. "Bah, I can make you twitch and shake agains your will with the pressing of a few of your buttons too, The body bends to the seduction of pain and shock all too easily" He said as he looked over the fallen soldier and Mkoll simply leaving him to answer Carrigan's summons.

Raising his rifle and giving a wtf sorta expression, Daggerfall shouldered his weapon and hefted the wounded soldier to his feet allowing him to brace himself upon Daggerfall for support, and if his wound's prevent even that, he'll fling the guardsman over his shoulder and proceed to Carrigan. "She did ask for eveyone and I'd hate to see what you'd look like if you were late."

.

Ghustel walked up to the downed mutant, and just solemly looked from it to it to Tazi. He then spotted Mkoll and listened as he said that the guardsmen was barely alive. Daggerfall reached the downed man first, and Ghustel walked up beside him.

" Need help?"

Ghustel helped lift the man up, and carried some weight, if Daggerfell let him. If not, Ghustel would just walk behind him, watching the smaller young man carry the downed soldier back to the main deck.

Beep beep and such

Everyone on deck, get to my office to report on your findings as soon as possible! We might have a problem.
Arcturious stopped in his tracks, the order had been given exclusively to the deck. The tone was authoritative, yet the phrasing of the latter sentence implied uncertainity, and Arcturious theorised the situation was worse than initially was apparent.

All forms of imperfection, with the exception of the wounded expendable, had been dealt with, and a report would of course be expected. Spinning meticulously Arcturious made his way to the lift, preparing to report his findings to the captain and subsequently return to his duties.

He was already rehearsing his report in his head as he stepped in the lift.
