Delusions?

Bah, delusions. I'm basking in the shiny glow of my new title. Thanks, Powers That Be!

Hmm

You damn well appreciate it, I spent all of 4 seconds sending a PM to Alacrity with that idea.

Also, you know what I'd like, because I'm such a good guy and didn't get a Christmas present from you all (makes me sad), maybe we could have this thread form some sort of coherent mass as it rises in posts. Not just 300 pages of "No, me!" because I'm sure we're all bored of that, but perhaps 300 pages of conversation relevant to the post above it, but simultaneously you win without having to announce it. I think it would be enjoyable and lovely.

Absolutely lovely.

I'm reading this in my head with a British accent, my British accent sounds like my German one. It's confusing really.

Conversation

Well now isn't that a novel idea. Winning and an opportunity to pontificate, what's not to like? I am in full support.

And Grugg, perhaps a healthy dose of tea and crumpets will help your accent? Try it, it's positively riveting.

Actually...

Tea and crumpets are quite delicious actually. Especially when they're properly made. I have a friend whose family came from England, and they make very good crumpets.

This pleases me

I had some experience with tea and crumpets over the summer while I spent some time in Europe. I also wore a monocle while I was doing it. Most excellent indeed.

Bloody Hell.

Monocles would be awesome. I always fancied a monocle. It would truly make a great addition to any wardrobe.

Well...

After my long absence I have returned not only to stake my claim as winner, but to also find out about the dandy day. I am quite intrigued as to whatever occasion may permit us to wear a monocle.

Monocles

May I suggest that every person that posts in this thread receive a complimentary monocle from the inn?

Ooo Treasure!

Don't forget the pocket watches! They are a fantastic compliment to the monocle.

Treasure is right...

I personally think that pirate eye patches are far superior to monocoles, less squenching of the face in order to properly operate them, which will result in less wrinkles in the long run, and hey who wants those? Besides you can decorate pirate eye patches with shiny things... remember One Eyed Willy's patch, that man had some bling!!
