Need player for a new Star Wars game!

Edit: as of right now, recruitment is closed for this game. However, it is possible we will have room for one more player - if your heart is set on playing Star Wars with us, leat me know.
After some consideration, I believe that I will once again try my hand at a Star Wars game. The last one I tried was a ton of fun until we hit net fizzle. In an effort to counteract that, please do not sign up if you cannot post twice per week. They don't have to be pulitzer prize posts, but I want at least a couple of short paragraphs in a typical post.

I'm looking for 3-5 total players; I think that four would be an ideal number. I already have a a jedi padawan, and I don't really see two in the party, so lets look to other avenues for your character concepts, please. We also have a soldier already.

Furthermore, there are a couple of existig characters that you may wish to simply assume - however, please feel free to bring in a new idea, if you like.

All races from the core rulebook are available, as are those from the UAA, subject to a case by case approval. (I won't rule out four armed aliens, but you'll need a good backstory and a reason besids the extra attacks you might get to persuade me to put up with it).

The setting is approximately five hundred years before the birth of the one who will bring balance to the Force - i.e. Anakin Skywalker. The jedi are numerous and influential, at the height of their glory in the Republic.

Naturally, though, there are forces that seek to undermine this...

Be forewarned! I consider myself to be a reasonably knowledgeable fan - I know the movies well, and am reasonably familiar with the various sourcebooks for the RPG. However, I am not at all versed in the expanded universe or the various SW novels. As a result, this is "my" Star Wars universe. While there won't be any major changes from canon, I may not line up with some of the more "off the beaten" path SW details. Deal with it.

To be consdiered, you need a character concept emailed to me, along with at least a brief backstory. Characters will all be level 1. If you need help withthe rules, I will be glad to assist you.. you don't need to know the game, just be enthusiastic and active.

What else can I tell you?

May the Force be with you...

Mercury Saran is a young jack-of-all-trades jock doing what he can to get around the Corellian lifestyle of hard work and drudgery of dull living. Born to a modest family of Corellian shipworkers, Mercury has just come of age to decide whether he wishes to take on an apprentice role under his father and two older brothers at the shipyards or maybe escape and find better fortunes in the galaxy at large.

However, just wishing for it to happen didn't seem to give him much direction until he was poking around a visiting Duro ship (a Corellian CR90 Corvette) at the launch pads. Unbeknownst to him, the ship was about to disembark and next thing you know - he was far away from his homeworld.

The Duros were spice smugglers under the front of legal transporters, but they were not unkind to their stowaway. Mercury worked onboard for [passage and even had a good friendship with Thom Dulo - the Duro captain.

Mercury is 16 years old and is somewhat selfish and self-absorbed; but he makes up for it in loyalty to friends and companions. One of his descendants, Simone Saran, will be a prominent Jedi Knight during the Clone Wars and the Jedi Purge.

I've got yer Force right here!

I should have a concept to you a little later this evening, boss man. Haven't really decided on a race for sure (have to review the UAA before I lock anything in) I am leaning towards human, at the moment, but that could very well change. Look for an e-mail from my home account later tonight.

Stat generation...

Got any "preferred method" for generating base stats, boss? 4d6 drop the lowest, point buy, custom "Olan-says" generation?

Olan says...

Roll 4d6, drop the low number on each die, arrange to taste. As always, I reserve the right to edit scores I find too unbalancing.

four slots filled!

At the moment, here's what I have:

male human fringer (Greysorceror)
male miraluka jedi huardian (Eol Fefalas)
male twi'lek noble (Admiral)
male human scoundrel (Ayrn)

These have been picked due to the concepts I have received - though guys, I do need more flesh.

I see PERHAPS one more slot. I was relly thinking four characters, though I will take a fifth *if* the concept is good.

If I haven't picked you yet, then I need more info from you. This is not first come, first served; this game is about good character ideas.

Star Wars!

I just got into my first Star Wars game with Admiral, playing a Miralukian Seer/Jedi Consular. Though we havn't gone far, the concept is really interesting and fun to play. Due to my lack of time I won't submit a charrie now, but I'll definately lurk, and perhaps in the future, I'll place a bid for an addition down the line.

It's in the details...

...and the details are in your PM inbox, Darth Suddeth. Still could stand a bit of polishing, of course, but I'm working on that.

Do you want us to go as far as buying equipment just yet or do you want to hold off on that for the time being?

this is a bump

Yes, go ahead and purchanse your starting equipment, please. We have a nice, varied group, nd your general concepts have given me a way to work you into the plot line. Expect to see more soon!

If you are not yet in the game, and have designs on being #5, you need to act quickly. I am quite happy to do this as a four person game!

eager

Your players are eagerly awaiting their deaths.

Out of curiosity, I know as a rule online games level up slowly, but how quickly are we expected to advance? I have high aspirations ya know
