responce to Kira

Darian shrugs. "I know because if they had wanted us dead or captured, we would be already..." He takes the envelope, placing it in his belt pouch for later, and adjusting his leathers.
He leads the way out of her room, down the stairs, and through the small city towards the famous Tavern....
((Leaving it open for dialog, but if you dont care to speak with him, feel free to make your next post entering the Black Boar.))

walking into the famous Tavern

Kara and her companion walk into the famous Tavern called The Black Boar, Kara hold her cloak tightly and closely around her, also her hood is up to hide her face she wasn't sure what would happen if she accidently showed her true self

they walk up to a empty table near the fire and the bar, but away from others as Kara did not want anyone to recognise her and call anyone, as Kara sits down she whispers to her companion Darian "do you think we are safe here for the moment?"

Mad dash

It took the frantic Pardoner Amastus much too long for his liking to find his way around the maze which made up Far Reach's ever-meandering streets. Out of breath and nearly out of mind, he stumbled into the motel from which he came and asked the keeper between wheezes, "Has a young lady checked in of recent?"

((OOC: Salvator, shall I just leave the keep's convo up to you, or shall I improvise? Just PM me for your response))

I-Binary Response

The inn keeper, a short, pudgy man with a balding head and a horrid Oder grimaces. "In and out, If you mean the pretty lass that left not 5 minutes ago." He grins.
"Why, be you her real husband? Wanting to know what she's doing with that scrawny pale fellow, aye?"

I'm her what??

"Wha- no, not her husband... just need to see her-" The Pardoner paused to take another breath. "Guess I should go get her- thank you, sir!" And with that he turned on his heel and ran out the door.

Amastus cursed his pathetic stamina as he puffed down the cobblestone streets, nearly tripping more than once as he went. His fatigue grew so that he had to stop and ask a rather dingy civilian about the Tavern's location. Almost forty minutes after he left the motel, the cleric dragged his wretched bones back into the tavern and asked the barkeep about the presence of a young lady with a pale, scrawny consort.

Somewhere at the back of his mind as he rested upon the bar-shelf, he realized that he hadn't given the motel keeper any reason to deny that he was not the lady's fiancée.

Kara

Darian nods, removing his sword and leaning it against a table and taking a seat, seeming a bit calmer now that they were here. He gestures to the Woman speaking to a small fellow and a large orc. "I was told you are to speak with her." He says simply before signalling for a drink.

Where is she...

Upon hearing this knowledge, the panting Pardoner examined the room around him. It was well-lit and certainly well-attended; certainly a different public to the impoverished he'd seen on the streets just yesterday. At the far end of the room, an isolated table near the fire and the bar was occupied by two inconspicuous figures: one wore a cloak over its head, the other was remarkably skinny, and held a sword at rest upon the table's edge. Perhaps these two were who he was looking for.

"That must be them; thank you my good man." Amastus stood up from the bar stool and inhaled deeply. He had no problem approaching strangers, and his charisma enabled this; but something felt different. If he was to be this lady's escort, companion, or something else similar, he had to do all the right things. He had no way of predicting how she- if the cloaked one was her- or her consort would react.

With that, he strode to the table and, in the clearest voice he could muster, introduced himself:
"My name is Pardoner Amastus, a cleric of the Silver Qlergy to the west. I was informed by letter from an anonymous harbinger of information that I am to speak with you." He withdrew the open letter from his robes.

Nervous

Kara keeps her hood up so that it cover's her face and head as she looks up a little at the gentleman standing there next to her and Darian. She retrieves the letter that he is holding out to her and hands it to her companion. "Hello sir" she says in a quiet voice "how may i help you"

she looks towards her companion for guidance on how she should talk to him and let him know who she is. as she is afraid.

She takes a little drink and sets it back down on the table. not wanting to give anything away she speaks to darian in a quiet voice so no-one could hear her "do you think we can trust him.. and what did it say in that letter?
